TPM module with Bitlocker on an SSD

TPM module with Bitlocker on an SSD

I'd like to know if this would work:

    Lenovo E580 Laptop

2 X identical boards, 1 is dead CPU and the TPM Module contains bitlocker key required to unlock the SSD.

    Other is a working motherboard.

Move the TPM module to donor motherboard and when it boots Bitlocker would automatically be unlocked.

Otherwise we're stuck with. Dead Motherboard and hope a CPU replacement can be done successfully.

I don't know if that will work as most of the security is now embedded into UEFI Firmware Chips. I had a costumer that had bitlocker activated somehow and I as able to recover it, as long as the original account is a Microsoft Account.
Follow these steps in order to see if you're able to recover it.https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...ery-guide-plan

copying dumps from main and EC chip would be good too

My venerable and old laptop (Toshiba Satellite P75-A7200 equipped with an i7-4700MQ, circa 2014) and previously a powerful machine during its heyday is no more. Have been using it for many years, but about 3 months ago it went kaputt for no apparent reason (left it on overnight [normally it goes to standby mode after some idle time], and in the morning it was cold dead with no boot, no post, no leds; nothing at all).

Since the 1990s I have been building custom desktop computers, etc; but it has been few years since my last built one and for the last 15 years I have built very few...

              Dell Latitude E6540 - 2nd dead motherboard
              by DrvLikHell
Greetings and sanitations! Several years ago I received some really awesome help on this forum for fixing my monitor (which is still working) so I figure maybe someone can help with this laptop issue.

I have a Dell E6540, motherboard 9411P, DP/N:VWNW8. A year ago it died a strange death where at first it wouldn't turn on all the time, but would turn on when it felt like it, then it got worse where it wouldn't turn on at all and I would just get a flashing light. So I replaced the motherboard with a matching part number board. (I still have the old motherboard) Now a year later this...

Subject is a blank screen issue in HP Envy 17-3290NR 3D version laptop with motherboard Louis V1.1 6050A2489901 MB-A02. Production year is 2012. This one is a 2nd hand motherboard which I could use it for few months only. Suddenly no output from the internal display and also no signal from HDMI port then Windows out of order after few boots.

Caps lock working normally and no HP's caps-lock warning blinks. Making a hard reset and replacing the RAM sticks or using different slots didn't help.

Fans are spinning. Blindly could install windows11 and got the device manager...

              ASUS P5GC-MX motherboard recap
              by momaka
Here’s another motherboard that needed a full recap: an ASUS P5GC-MX.
This one was gifted to me some years ago by user Pentium 4, along with a few other goodies. It actually came in working order with no bulging or leaking caps. However, I noted there were United Chemicon KZG caps everywhere on the motherboard. The CPU VRM output (CPU V_core) was the only exception: it had only 2x KZG. The rest was 6x UCC TMV 4V 680 uF caps… which aren’t any good news either.

So here is what the motherboard looked like with its original caps:

              CPU VRM area up close…...

After updating motherboard capacitors, what to do next (Asrock K7VT2, SOLTEK SL-75FRN2L)
              by dragon3x
Hi, I have some 32 bits computer motherboards that need repair, as they fail to
              power on.

              Here are some examples :

(N.B. "capacitors" indicated here are electrolytic capacitors located in the onboard
              switching supply area).
              (N.B. #2 : I could not find a 3300 microF aluminum-polymer with a higher voltage
              than 6.3 V.)

1 - Motherboard #1 : this is an Asrock K7VT2 (socket A) that still works well. To put it on test
              I replaced capacitors with aluminum-polymer.
              3300 microF/6.3 V. x 4 replaced by 3300 microF/6.3 V. (KYOCERA...
