In theory,. all defective mainboards are fixable. In practice, a mainboard is fixable if its repair takes a short time. With such a damage to the mainboard (as in your attached photo), it is possible that the CPU or PCH be damaged too. If so, I consider the mainboard non-fixable. Hello, my HP doesn't start, and I found a burnt IC on the motherboard. I can't read the full description due to the damage. The component is labeled 3h=5g. Could someone please advise me where I could buy the component or its suitable replacement? Thank you. It's marked as PUG8 on the motherboard. -

I recently got an Intel NUC 10i5 and had installed Linux Mint and was using it for about a month when it died suddenly and did not power up after that.(Power Adaptor is ok). I have a Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 (G533QM) that had a dead motherboard (Graphics card dead) and after trying to fix the motherboard with no success, I bit the bullet on a sale for a new motherboard. I ordered a motherboard for the 15 inch model which is the one that I have, and when the motherboard arrived it wasn't for a little while that I saw it was from the 17 inch model.
My question is, can I update the Bios on this G733 motherboard to a G533 Bios.
The reason for wanting to do this is that the keyboard isn't working as it should, and I think this... -
