    Lenovo V110-17ikb - Shorted CPU?

Hi everybody, I'm back with another laptop to repair, but this time I'm not so confident it can be fixed
    It's a Lenovo V110-17ikb 17" with an i7.

I suspect a short on CPU but I would like your opinion.

    This is the current status:
    - the bios battery was completely dead (0V)
    - without laptop battery the board draws about 150mA from the power supply.
    - the 19V main power rail is working correctly
    - +3VALW and +5VALW are present
    - power button and BIOS receives the 3.3v
    - When the PS is connected, the CPU warm up quite a bit in the area shown in the image (the PCH I guess)
    - There are few caps with very low resistance (about 0.3ohm) to GND in the area near the coil PL1901: PC1912, PC1913, PC1914, PC1915
This coil operate on the +1.0VALW and there is no voltage.

Side note: someone can explain me why the heatsink has a hole right on the PCH?

PCH part of the CPU is likely shorted. PCH doesn't generate that much heat so they don't provide any thermal management for it.

sad intel truth. maybe 40-50% of my intel board problems is related to burned PCH
