    MacBook Air 2018 not turning one

    Hello, so I get on e-Bay an higly water damaged mother board, to replace another one with a dead T2. So I managed to fix the water damged one, after a day of schematic readings and components replacing. But I made a BIG mistake. The computer turned on, with backlight and everything, Apple logo showing but the power button wasn't working, so I unpluged the cable for audio jack and pwrbttn and pluged it in back.... And now it doesn't boot anymore, staying at 20V around 0.039-0.041 Amps. In the T2 power boot sequence the last line to get power is PP2v7_NAND, so the NAND is corectly powers on. But no PP3v3_S5 and don't understand why cause not shorted and I have PP3V3_AWAKE from the T2. Any help please?

    Post your 820-xxxx number from your logic board so that we can reference the proper schematic.

              MacBook Pro 2018 with Activation Lock
              by envym
              Hi everyone!

              I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.

              I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...

              Macbook air 2020 (820-01958) with water damage not turning on
              by MKesenheimer
              Dear all,

              I have a Macbook Air 2020 13” (820-01958) with water marks around U8700, C7665 and U2800 in front of me. The laptop is not turning on but the CPU is getting warm after a while.
              I am trying to figure out which component is potentially dead. For that I made the following measurements:

              Voltages on T2 chip rails:
              PP1v8_SLPS2R = 1.80V
              PP1v8_AWAKE = 1.80V
              PP1V8_SLPS2R_PMUVDDGPIO = 1.80V
              PP1v1_SLPS2R = 1.10V
              PP0v8_SLPS2R = 0.80V
              PP0v82_SLPDDR = 0.82V
              PP3v3_AWAKE = 3.28V
              PPVDDCPUSRAM_AWAKE = 0.80V
              PP0v9_SLPDDR...

              MacBook Pro 2018 - A1990 Dead - not charging - only 5V
              by robka
              Hi,

              my MacBook Pro 15" 2018 Touch Bar (A1990) doesn't charge anymore. Board# 820-01041-A

              I'm not experienced in diagnostics, but I want to try to solve the problem with your help, because every local shop charges around 600€ (650 usd). Which is the value of the whole Macbook.

              The Macbook was charging when suddenly the "charging sound" appeared every other second for around 4-5 times.
              After that the Macbook was dead. It isn't charging anymore.

              The USB-C Port where the charger was plugged is burned. Also The Cable and the...

              MacBook Air 2018 A1932 820-01521 Not turning on.
              by sikocan
              MODEL: MacBook Air 2018 A1932 820-01521

              Problem: 5.12V / 0.60Amps

              History: Unknown but I can see slight liquid spill on IC U8201/74aup1t97gm

              Things tried: I've cleaned the liquid area, removed the IC U8201/check pads, good/ chip looks good, put back. Replaced CD3215C x 2 times, so 4 new chips just in case. I've attached photo readings of V/resistance and signals as per logi wiki website. Please advise what I can check next. Schematics available upon request....

              MBP 15 2018 A1990 Water damage
              by David82827372
              Here's what happened: water entered the connection between the screen and keyboard of my MacBook Pro. The power button has stopped functioning. I have to resort to using the charger to turn on the MacBook.

              Furthermore, even when connected to the charger, it's challenging to turn it on, as after about a hundred attempts, the MacBook starts charging from one of the ports and only then powers up. I've changed outlets and cords, yet it seems like the MacBook randomly chooses when to recognize the charging.

              After several hours of inactivity, the MacBook cannot be quickly turned...
