For future reference of those using CH341A trying to flash KB9028:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQGH6yZuXCc&t=567s

The correct pinout as I have sourced from the video above:
    pin 42 (KSO3) to Ground
    pin 59 (KSI4) to CS
    pin 60 (KSI5) to CLK
    pin 61 (KS6) to MOSI
    pin 62 (KSI7) to MISO

MISO and MOSI are backwards on post #34, I wasted so much time looking for other pinouts for this chip because of that

I used NeoProgrammer 2.2.0.10 with KB902x profile to flash it

    Works on the SVOD programmer.
The first pin is the last.

Yes,KB9028 is supported by RT8209F. The pinout is already mentioned on post#34.

However, i got the job done with RT8209F by manually soldering the pins on kbd connector and khaahk's input is verified ok.

@reset1986, KB9012/22 cant be replaced for kb9028. I already tried kb9022 on this very mb and it creates problem. KB9028 datasheet i couldnt find anywhere. I referred to Lenovo 330S schematic for basic understanding of KB9028.
mcplslg123: you said you can use RT8209F to program kb9028, correct? can you post the diagram? thanks

has anyone tried kb9028 with a ch341a programmer?
I noticed that neoprogrammer has support for KB902X. Will try this later.
Having problem figuring the connections for this laptop model HP Envy 13-aq series. I dont have the schematics. Hopefully there are some identical models with schematics out there.

    Re: KB9028 Programming

I need some help with 9028q and svod3. I am trying to program hp motherboard diner 1.0 carrizo-l, 15286-1.

The board dc jack got broken so the ec had 20V. I replaced it with "new" 9028q and svod3 founds it. It can read and write but not erase. I do not even understand how there is data if it is suppose to be new? Anyway it gives the error "blank check false" So does anybody know what i should try to do to get the chip fully erased?

Hopefully somebody can give me solution here. Many many thanks

I've already delivered so cant give you the measurements on ram ic anymore. If we can manage the ram ic datasheet, can be diagnosed further.

ok, I re-soldered the original kb9028q, the charge led is ok, orange,
I press the power button, the white LEDs light up for about 10 seconds and then turn off,
in ignition I find the 5V and 3 V on pl 4502 and pl 4501,
3v on spi mxic (already written another bios)

I can't find CPU power supplies, and Ram, Pl5201 marks 0.6 ohm, it should have 1 V, generated by Pu5201 (V15U 1533sf) I don't recognize the type of ic on the code,
wiring diagram I can not find it for this motherboard, there will be some signal that does not allow the correct ignition sequence, I suspect pch, do you have advice

    KB9028 RT9809F Programming
    by sikocan
Hi all, I'm having trouble detecting a SuperIO. ENE KB9028 using RT809F which says it supports KB9028. it's programmable through SPI Flash. From schematics I have connected the RT809F as follows. Pin 1 CS to > Pin128, Pin 2 DO to > Pin120, Pin 4 G to Ground. Pin 5 DI to Pin119, Pin 6 CLK to Pin126, Pin 8 VCC to Pin9 of SuperIO. I also rotated Pin 2 and Pin 5 thinking I made mistake. It simply doesnt get detected. I checked VCC it gets 3.3 from Power supply when DC jack is plugged in.

I tried timing it like press read then Insert DC jack, or vice versa etc. No luck many times....

    ASROCK Z270 GAMING-ITX/AC - IR35201 - NEED THE VRM CONFIG FILES
    by DynaxSC
    Hi,

I have an ASROCK Z270 GAMING-ITX/AC motherboard with a fried VCORE controller IR35201 (International Rectifier, currently Infineon).

This chip is unfortunately programmable, so after replacing the chip, it needs to be programmed with a config file, which I do not have, as the chips is not readable any more (total short on power supply pin).

Some of you maybe know, it is possible to read out the config file from a board with a working chip using the USB005 I2C adapter and IR/Infineon software called PowIRCenter. The software is available freely at Infinion...

    Programming KBC IT8987VG ASUS TUF FX506L RT809F+PEB
    by araxnido
Dear friends, I want to share my experience repairing an ASUS TUF FX506L gaming laptop motherboard: DABKXDMB8E0_F_BKXD. Boardview and schematic are available, as well as the BIOS and ITE ROM.

When the customer brought in this laptop, it was initially dead; it showed no signs of booting for any reason. After hours of measurements, checking each stage, MOSFET, and seeing if there was a short circuit in any capacitor, I discovered a strange 0.7V leakage voltage on the 3V_S5 rail, particularly on the PL9 coil, with the board not powered on. There were 3V_LDO and 5V_LDO voltages, which...

    MP2886A programming
    by zesko
    Hi everyone,
I have a board with a dead pwm on mp2886a. I order the chip without thinking about programming, and now I just realize my mistake.

Someone know if it's 100% needed to program the chip ? And if so, how to program it ? I see some dedicated board and software but, software is a bit tricky to me, the bad part of the job...

p.s : with the dead pwm chip, the GPU work fine when I disconnect the shorted pwm (6), with the new chip Pgood is 0 and the gpu doesn't start, so I guess it need to be programmed, or it's fake chip..

    p.s 2 : Sorry for my...

But i just cant do it with XMC chips, is there some specific program that i must use? (i am using NeoProgrammer)
