Recently I came across an x570 Aorus Elite where the temperature in bios was reporting -55c, i had checked the CPU_TEMP line connected to the IT8688
In my particular case, the SIC line going to the X570 chipset (PM_SIC) was shorted to ground, so far disconnecting the 0 ohm resistors connecting APU_SID and APU_SIC to the chipset has fixed my -55c issue, it seems like -55c is the fallback reading for CPU_TEMP which is just pulled up to VREF on most gigabyte motherboards
I wanted to post this as even the ever-reliable vlab forum was stumped on this issue

Repair knowledge for -55c CPU temperature on AMD Ryzen CPUs in bios, the AMD Sideband temperature sensor interface (SB-TSI)

For future reference of those using CH341A trying to flash KB9028:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQGH6yZuXCc&t=567s
The correct pinout as I have sourced from the video above:
pin 42 (KSO3) to Ground
pin 59 (KSI4) to CS
pin 60 (KSI5) to CLK
pin 61 (KS6) to MOSI
pin 62 (KSI7) to MISO
MISO and MOSI are backwards on post #34, I wasted so much time looking for other pinouts for this chip because of that
I used NeoProgrammer 2.2.0.10 with KB902x profile to flash it -
For reference: Fintek F75504A 504AN 504N MSI BIOS Flashback MCU IC can be swapped to different models
I just swapped it from an MPG B550I Gaming Edge WiFi 7C92 to a B550M PRO-VDH WIFI 7C95, flashback is working, if anyone knows a reliable source for this chip besides taking it from a donor board, please leave a reply...
