the board had some corrosion but on unimportant areas like for the led or diode to Lan port, but I have already removed those corroded components
the vCore VRMonly has 2 of 4 phases firing, at least according to my shitty dso138mini, the 2 phases that aren't firing are indirectly controlled by the isl95712 via
an ISL6625
the PWM pin from the controller to the isl6625s are at 2.4v, ie the idle state
so far I have not found any broken traces or resistors for the vCore circuit
I have flashed both bios chips to latest firmware
I have replaced:...

Having the same issue with an NM-D472, led blinks for 12 times and occasionally when it stops blinking and pressing the power button 3v_alw becomes .8v while the enable pin for pu5601 is pulled low, pu5601 also gets hot because something is drawing too much current from 3VLP, so far I have replaced super io/ec and lv5116a and it has made no difference, I'm starting to think its a dead CPU/PCH but it seems to properly load the new ec firmware onto a blank ec, disconnecting 3v pch with a blank chip it doesn't program a blank ec
3vlp is 130k ohm
3v_alw is 9.2k ohm

I have used 0.4 multiple times, and it worked for me, but it sits lower than the other chipsLeave a comment:

Repair knowledge for -55c CPU temperature on AMD Ryzen CPUs in bios, the AMD Sideband temperature sensor interface (SB-TSI)
Recently I came across an x570 Aorus Elite where the temperature in bios was reporting -55c, i had checked the CPU_TEMP line connected to the IT8688
In my particular case, the SIC line going to the X570 chipset (PM_SIC) was shorted to ground, so far disconnecting the 0 ohm resistors connecting APU_SID and APU_SIC to the chipset has fixed my -55c issue, it seems like -55c is the fallback reading for CPU_TEMP which is just pulled up to VREF on most gigabyte motherboards
I wanted to post this as even the ever-reliable vlab forum was stumped on this issue

For future reference of those using CH341A trying to flash KB9028:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQGH6yZuXCc&t=567s
The correct pinout as I have sourced from the video above:
pin 42 (KSO3) to Ground
pin 59 (KSI4) to CS
pin 60 (KSI5) to CLK
pin 61 (KS6) to MOSI
pin 62 (KSI7) to MISO
MISO and MOSI are backwards on post #34, I wasted so much time looking for other pinouts for this chip because of that
I used NeoProgrammer 2.2.0.10 with KB902x profile to flash itLeave a comment:

For reference: Fintek F75504A 504AN 504N MSI BIOS Flashback MCU IC can be swapped to different models
I just swapped it from an MPG B550I Gaming Edge WiFi 7C92 to a B550M PRO-VDH WIFI 7C95, flashback is working, if anyone knows a reliable source for this chip besides taking it from a donor board, please leave a reply... -
Update on my MWE750 it broke again but I fixed it again (I hope)
it started turning off and immediately after turning on again, the capacitors might've been a red herring this whole time, i could get it to start by manually shorting the PS_ON# to ground multiple times until it would stay on then pressing the power button on my motherboard, this worked less and less as time went on, until it didn't, at which point I found 2 shorted 12v mosfets P16 N04S, the fix was replacing all four of them with BSC010N04LS from a dead HX1000 I have seems to have fixed it, and my no load power draw...Leave a comment:

An actual fix story:
Hello everyone, I have a MWE 750 Gold mpy-7501-acaag that uses the exact same PCB as this 650w model, I was having issues where as soon as I press the power button it would turn off when the 24 pin was connected to certain motherboards, I narrowed it down to a problem with the 5v rail by depinning every rail from the 24 pin and adding one rail at a time until the problem came back. Initially I tried replacing the main cap but that did not help.
what fixed it was replacing 2 input filter caps and adding 2 more input filter caps and 2 output filter...Leave a comment:

Re: Dell Precision 5530/XPS 9570 no reaction
I've gotten it to start with a dead bug 16pin bios chip, with VCORE and DDR4_DRAMRST#, VCCGT is missing but apparently that's normal?
Problem is it doesn't stay on it just starts then fans spin a little faster, then it goes off, nothing on screen.
The ec seems healthy, battery light and front leds work, and even detects no ram properly
Could this be signal integrity issue with my deadbug bios chip?Leave a comment:

Re: Dell Precision 5530/XPS 9570 no reaction
Huge development for me, it seems the bios chip was broken, I temporarily replaced it with one that's half the size, just to see if it powers on, and it did, obviously it doesn't boot since it's missing half the firmware but at least that confirms what's broken
Every voltage is present until PCH_PLTRST#, but I'm able to run the D key display tester
Another thing I noticed before I replaced the bios chip was that the CLK pin would go high for about 2ms and just drop, I'm guessing it was waiting for the chip to...Last edited by Windows8RTMUser; 09-11-2023, 10:48 PM.Leave a comment:

Ite8655e hxs and gxs variants are interchangeable and do not appear to need programming, at least on Asus Prime B350m-a...Leave a comment:
