Haier S2 bios corrupted probably
I have been trying to revive a dead laptop without sucess. Checked all the voltages and they are present, only bios is left. I have tried to correct this firmware without sucess and seeking for help here.
Attached here is the bios dump.
Laptop model is Haier S2.
S/N: JM032E00004WK3W0451
Board: X133G rev 3.1... -

Thank you I am trying to repaird the board as the compressor seems fine. I have replaced the IPM. and blink code seems to refer to communication error between the 2 CPUs. I checked the crystal oscilattor with osciloscope and confirmed to be working at specified frequency. The IPM used is PS21961-4. Maybe you can give me some more ideas. thanks...Leave a comment:

Here is update. The device is revived. I used an adjustable regulator with 1.3v as output. Other things i've done is some ldo replacement and emmc reball as well.Leave a comment:

I did a bit of research and found the most suitable pinouts, but I need to know which voltage the output is. It is placed near the CPU. This is a Chinese Android Karaoke box. The problem is its dead with only charging light. I did replaced some other broken LDOs. This one seems to be shorted ground pin to output with 26ohm. I removed it to check and it is still shorted.Leave a comment:

Yup I have genuine original battery which comes with laptop. I bought this laptop for cheap from a guy who stored it after the screen went black. Turns out that it has been repaired before and I guess he doesnt want to repair it anymore probably because of high repair cost. The GPU was shorted before, it got too hot. So I removed the power coils for GPU core. that solve the problem which prevented the laptop to turn on. Soon (maybe a week later) it starts to throtle after using the cpu for high demanding app for long periods....Leave a comment:

I solved mine. It turns out that the discrete GPU even though it has been disabled through the efi bios and resistor mod, can give out many other problems. This includes cpu throtling. In the end i simply removed the GPU chip and my problems is solved. It passed ASD check no errors found so the GPU removal was my last option.Leave a comment:
