When the vin is at 5.8V, do you think IC will work. Inject 19V on CLR directly and then measure TPS51225 pins. that will make sense. On injecting 19V on CLR, you must get 3V on coil. If you are still not getting 3V on coil, there lies the problem. BQ24780/S will never work if there is any issue with 3V rail. I've already given you these inputs, why not work on them. It should'nt take 10-15 days to repair a board unless you are stuck for want of spares.

You injected 19V on CLR and BQ24780S getting hot. Right?? So Charging IC is likely to be bad.Was 3VALW available on coil when 19V was injected on CLR(Current Sensing Resistor)??

Nope no voltage on 3v coil and 5v coil. I already change the charger ic

Inject 19V on CLR, then measure voltage on all pins of TPS51225 and post here. Have you replaced TPS51225??

Inject 5V on vreg5 pin and see the consumption on dc supply. Anything getting mildly hot?? You should'nt use adapter/battery while injecting 5v on vreg5 pin. If things are normal, replace the 51225 IC. You must get 3V/5V Ldo working.

I have the same symptom motherboard and I have changed the BQ24780S and PQ17 MOSFET with no success.
After I have made a jumper between pin5 and CMSRC side motherboard was turned on but not charging if i plugged in the battery. What might be the problem please?

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                            Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

Hi all, I have a Asus TUF Gaming F16 (2024) FX607J motherboard with liquid damage. The oxide on the board was removed before giving it to me. This made it more difficult to repair. Also they did not give me the power supply.
When I connect the 20 volts with the bench power supply I get 4.3 volts on the main power line. If I remove the power sensing resistor I get 20 volts on one side (first 2 mosfets are ok) and 4.3 volts on the main power line (see photo). How is this possible?? I thought the 4.3 volts was coming from the battery mosfet so I unsoldered it and tested it. It is ok too. I...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply

I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
