    Dell 6540 cmos battery ( no data )

    Hi
    Dell model : la-9411p
    Laptop it working power only (no data ) if connect cmos battery but if remove cmos battery and turn on laptop working fine but if restart no data


    I have tried flashing more bios
    And cleared me but still problem
    Please call help me

      Hi.

      What is the meaning of 'no data' ?

      The cmos battery is used to hold your real time clock settings, the hardware configuration like hard drive parameters, the boot priority, etc.

      Is this what is lost when you remove the CMOS battery? This is normal.

          "No data " I meaning the laptop running power but no display and no response
          And power supply current 1.2 amp
          But if I remove cmos battery all things working fine

              I faced the same issue on a latitude E6420 LA-6591P. It was resolved by flashing bios though i tried atleast 7-8 dumps and fortunately one worked. So very likely its a bios issue.

                  My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

                  Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

                  My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.

                  I have brought you a mistery item
                  This laptop have come with some strange faults.
                  1. CMOS battery was flat 0v
                  Symptoms:
                  - After using the laptop and shutting down and removing the AC adapter for at least 1 minute, the laptop never turned on until EC reset (either shorting RTC or removing battery and long pressing power button)
                  Amp drawing was stuck at 0.005 milliamps.
                  - Laptop cannot really be turned off because it autostarts about 5 sec-1 or 2 minute. (lid sw is not the problem)

                  After inverstigation RTCD1 diode had a low value...

                  This one came in for battery replacement but without original battery, so original battery and charging history is unknown.
                  The customer said he bought the computer several years ago second-hand and was told that there was no battery inside but that he could purchase one if he wanted.
                  So we ordered a geniune battery for customer, plugged it in
                  RTC battery was also dead and it was also replaced. First boot up brought up warning message;

                  Funny thing is Service Tag is already set.

                  Hi Guys,
                  I am seeking some assistance with a Dell Inspiron 3593 FD155 LA-J081P (REV 1.0) (A00) laptop
                  The laptop is working fine with the adapter plugged in and also with a charged battery.
                  Problem is that the laptop is not charging the battery. The battery is recognized in the bios but the
                  ac adapter is listed as 'Not Installed'. So for instance, when a charged battery from another source
                  loses its charge, it stays on 0%.

                  Hi,

                  Please can anyone shed some light on why my Dell Vostro 3578 is giving the following BIOS error: 'The primary battery is not identifiable and this system will not charge this battery pack.'?

                  The problem is not the battery - I've tried three different identical ones, all Dell OEM. They all work perfectly in other systems (different models, though) whilst giving the same error in the Vostro.
                  The laptop will run happily from the battery if it is charged and Windows accurately reports the charge level, proving that the communication between the laptop and the battery...
