Hello. I have a Dell 5565 with a few symptoms, one of wich is that it will not boot into windows 10 install usb. It will show the windows logo for about 1 second, then reboot itself. It does this with and without a hdd or ssd connected. I have tried multiple known working windows install usbs.
I also noticed that the ram slot A does not work at all. Only ram slot B. I have tested various ram modules and all do the exact same thing (not work in A, and in B never enter the windows installation.
I have tried to use the f12 menu to update bios (just in case), but it ends up saying that the update file is incorrect (seems to be a common issue with dell).
I have run memtest86 and it doesn't find any issue, but I am convinced it must be a ram issue, either with the connection or the cpu (it has an amd a9 bga cpu).
There is no obvious damage to the ram slots or the motherboard. The owner says one day it just wouldn't boot, he decided to swap his hdd to a ssd thinking his hdd had gone bad, but could never get the windows installer to boot.
Any ideas what to check?
