Dell Latitude 5590 i5-8350U LA-F411P kernel panic when booting from USB

I got a bare Dell Lattitude 5590 with missing battery, RAM, RTC battery and Storage, I wanted to put some components in it and use it as my home laptop. After adding a FRU 2GB DDR4 2400 SoDIMM RamaxelRAMI've tried booting Linux Mint from USB, I got an error while trying to boot it. I tried reseating the stick, different slot, didn't help.
I tried to boot Windows 10 installer, as that was the stock system my model came with, got a BSOD as soon as the installer started booting, different code every time. I've tried switching to AHCI mode, I've tried linux in legacy mode, I've tried compatibility mode, didn't work.

    Motherboard:
    LA-F111P
    RAM:
    FRU 2GB DDR4 2400 SoDIMM Ramaxel
    CPU:
Intel Core i5-8350U Quad Core 1,7GHz

I attached the errors I was able to capture and motherboard model/ ram model
    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT HANDLED - FLTMGR.SYS
KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE while booting to Dell restore drive
    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

Thank you for any help/advice. I want this laptop as my repair project and I hope it's fixable

Hi, try with a different RAM stick (4GB or more), 2GB is too low nowadays for modern OS, even if you manage to install it, it will be very slow

A single stick of 8GB DDR4 SODIMM laptop RAM, either 2666 or 3200, is very cheap nowadays, about 16eur, get one from a well known brand like Crucial, Kingston, Corsair, Teamgroup, Lexar, etc.

I'll order a 8GB and see what it does.

      Thank you

I found schematics for the mainboard, I was just reading it, I have no clue what I'm looking at besides which component is what, but on the page 36 i found something about BSOD. Could it be somehow tied to the issue or it means something totally different? I attached the screenshot.

EDIT: I also tried connecting an HDD with windows already installed, still BSOD after going through the DELL logo with windows spinning wheel under it. Only thing that's left for me to try is getting an M2 ssd or finding an cable for connecting an HDD straight to the motherboard. I tried replacing the RTC battery too.

In the meantime, try running memtest86
          https://www.memtest86.com/download.htm
Create a USB stick with the free version, see if you get errors

Memtest from linux mint worked, but after trying to create a bootable usb from your link, I get stuck at Retrieving CPU MSR data. I've read that it could be a faulty stick, but is it possible that it's a CPU issue as it says?

            I'll attach the memtest86 logs.

            Thank you.

Okay I got my new memory, I tried switching it didn't help, but I found out the culprit.

After thinking about motherboard repair, bios reflash, cpu replacement, everything guess what it was

              Intel® SpeedStep™
I only booted into linux mint but I hope windows will work now too, if it doesn't I'll add an edit.

Thank you everyone for your advice.

Macbook Pro 16" A2141 screen artefacts, kernel panic
                by sofles
                Hi there.

I have Macbook Pro 16" 2019, model number A2141, motherboard number 820-01700. I have some problem with dedicated graphic card. When Macbook switches to dedicated GPU it is getting instantly hot and starts to show glitches on screen, then it freezes (trackpad is not clicking anymore) and shuts down.
I tried to reinstall MacOS But it was a pain, it started to show glitches in middle of installation and I could not finish it. I only was able to reinstall MacOS when I put Macbook outside (it is winter and -2 Celcius).

Now situation looks like this, If...

MacBook Pro A2141 - macOS Kernel Panic
                by prw07
Mac crashes and restarts with kernel panic. No water damage on board. Board is clean. Memtest86 showing no errors. The installation Ventura or Sonoma is successful, but after 5-10 minutes of operation, the accident occurs again. Did a DFU restore and revive, twice with success and successfully reinstalled Sonoma. After 5 minutes of work Mac crashes with Kernel Panic. Apple Diagnostic (AHT) does not find errors.
How to localize the problem ?

                A1990 Constant Kernel Panic: AMDFramebufferVIB::setPowerState
                by ronaldopdias
Hi, I have an A1990, i9 & Radeon 560X. Before it was freezing every few seconds, almost as if failing SSD, even on external macOS installation. I have tried a clean reinstall, revive + restore T2 firmware and it now works fine, other than it seems to kernel panic after some time in sleep.

Below is the kernel panic log, its similar to a lot of posts online for the same model, with no comments on how to fix the issue, and whether its firmware related or an LB issue. Most seemed to happen running Catalina but I am on the latest version of macOS Ventura....
