Samsung R530 Partial Boot?

Hi

Hoping someone can help with a problematic Samsung r530.

Core i3 1st gen, and PCH. no dedicated graphics chips.

Sypmtoms:-

The laptop powers, the display wakes, but shows no logo.
After a few seconds , the screen displays solid white, then red, then green etc.The keyboard still has some functionality e.g. mouse lock, screen brightness, but thats about all.

Cmos reset = no change

Pressing F2/f10/f12/esc during boot has no apparent effect

Tried:-

Stripped the board to bench mode,( board, cpu and ram)
CPU and PCH have had new thermal grease, and another cpu has been installed with same result.

conected external monitor with HDMI port and VGA port to an external monitor, toggling display function key however both routes show
Win 10 USB does appear to load (flashes during startup), not sure how far though.

I've taken voltage readings from the power rails and all appear to be ok?
Tried several known working RAM modules to no evail.
No obvious shorts on media ports and board looks fine under the magnifying glass.

Possible BIOS issue,? (I,m open to other theories) but how to flash when only bios download is a windows based app?

Seems like motherboard is not posting. Connect a usb keybaord and check numlock glows or not. You need a spi bios programmer and desolder your bios chip. You can get a bios dump in this forum for your mb.

On your advice I have tried usb keyboard and there is no life from caplocks led.
Same with laptop keyboard, no cap lock light during power on.

Spi bios programmer?

Bios programmer arived today.
I,m assuming that the chip has to be de-soldered, but havn,t a clue on how to use the programmer or how to get a bios for my motherboard?

There is BA-- number silkscreened on the mb somewhere(very likely around dimm slot). Ask for bios in "bios section" with mb marking mentioned above by you+ BA number.

I have the programmer, however the software to use it isn't with the usb stick.
I found drivers online, but no software?

Still working on it

The first flash supplied was R540 BIOS. Resulted in a no start condition.
I,m trying an "outage bin", from the same supplier. Ive still got scotchmist to try too

Outage bin flashed onto chip and the mb won't start.?

Maybe you must ask somebody to extract the bios from the website from samsung.

I do not know how to do it.
