820-01521 MacBook Air 2018 turns off while boot

    hi there,
got a spill damage MacBook Air 2018.
USB C IC replaced and cleaned the board.
    everything looks fine now.

Macbook is booting and loading rescue data, but then while boot it turns off.
just load around 5% under the apple, fan spins high 1 second and then turns off.
    same in target mode.
Hardwaretest runs normal and all fine.
Voltages and Rails are all there...
T2 Chip is recovered in DFU und up to date. SSD was detected before restore t2.

    Any ideas?

check the current sensing resistors resistance, should be around 10ohms I think sorry I don't have the schematic in my hands right now.

I think I have the schematic for the 820-01521. What parts of it do you need?

          booth resistors are 1.4 Ohms.

did anyone knows what happens in the first 5% of loading... Apple Hardware test is also fine. Maybe a Problem with bridgeOS ?

try a PRAM reset - press the attached keys till the system reboots with another chime.

                any improvement?

MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable

MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Turns on functions then turns off when I plug in USB C cable to reset the computer. I disconnect the battery fully and then reconnect it and it won't turn back on. After letting it sit for a day I plug the battery back up, and the MagSafe 3 cable and it powers on and stays ons, once I plug in a USB C cable into the port closes to the MagSafe port it turns off and the Amber light turns off and won't turn on. No water damage, nothing, I want to do a DFU restore to wipe the computer since the customer stated they did an update and ever since it just decided to not work...

[Macbook pro A1708] [Boot loop] [Trackpad ?]
                      by No Lan
                      Hey everyone,

Usually, I'm not the type to ask for help, but this time, I'm calling on your wisdom and expertise I've seen what this community can do, so I'm pretty sure you guys can help me out.

Here's the deal: I noticed my MacBook got stuck in a boot loop. After opening it up and doing some initial troubleshooting, I found that the boot loop stops only when the trackpad is unplugged.

Now, just so you know, the trackpad actually works — I tested it with another motherboard and it's all good. Same for the cable, no issues there. The problem is only...

                      Macbook A2251 no boot
                      by PITERPENY
The MacBook does not boot. It is restored via DFU without errors. The MacBook charges and consumes 20V/2A. There is no sound when connecting the charger. The caps lock does not light up, but the touchpad clicks. The fans do not rotate. No signs of life. Please advise.

MacBook Pro A2289 (820-01987-A) No boot/image, but boots to DFU
                      by baglaivlad
Hi everyone. Just a reminder I am not a professional repair technician, fixing Apple electronics is my hobby.

Recently got my hands on MacBook Pro A2289 with interesting behavior. Pristine condition, no water damage, no visual issues whatsoever. It has no image, no CapsLock, no life except the fan is spinning. But it is able to boot into DFU and recognized by another MacBook. I tried to revive and restore the laptop, but the process ends when the MacBook usually should show an Apple logo with a progress bar. I assume the main power lines and T2 are working. It seems like the Intel...

                      Could someone help me?
I have a Macbook Air A1466 EMC 3178 - 2017, board 820-00165 and sometimes the boot interrupts with an image of a folder and a question mark.
                      Could it be the BIOS?
