    Re: bga under production

No idea, I think there were some new 2016 maybe 2018. If there is a picture of the spool package with the datecode it's a positive sign, but that could be faked too.
Hard to tell if they've been remarked or not in any case.
see-ic has some "bulk new" 216-0752001 from 2014 right now. From experience the "bulk new" 216-0752001 from see-ic are good.

HP ProDesk 600 G4 SFF - Warning: Bios is not for Production use
        by shinebad
Recently I received a batch of HP desktops all of which are in testing mode bios.
They all display the error "Your system is not fully configured. Please contact HP customer support.
Warning: This BIOS is Not for Production Use".
It has a main bios and an EC separate on the board.
while trying to update the bios from the network it connects to the HP site downloads the bios with a version of 2.23 but restarts after downloading, same happens with a recovery pen drive. I tried programming it with a bios from another site didn't work.
        Can someone provide...

HP Elitebook x360 1040 G5 - This BIOS is Not for Production Use
        by cyborg17b
        Hi guys,

I have acquired a HP Elitebook x360 1040 G5 laptop with the motherboard model BLURR-6050A2999101-MB-AX3(S3).
The laptop is actually engineering sample, as it displays this message on the boot screen: "Your system is not fully configured. pLease contact HP customer support.
Warning: This BIOS is Not for Production Use".

I had purchased a BIOS chip from ebay to replace the BIOS with the error message, but once installed in the motherboard in the WSON8 adapter, I think their technology "SureStart"...

Chemi-con ends production of large part of caps
        by Behemot
Been recently informed that NCC is EoL'ing many caps from ALL series, some series (like LE, long life, medium ESR/RC) will end as a whole.

From what I've seen, D5, D6.3 and D8 caps are affected. So ALL the small caps, either standard or low-ESR, and many caps in filtering (in D8, especially FSP, but many others use that in output filters in SMPS).

Last order accepted in 2024, so I will try to restock and pre-stock as many as possible to keep them caps flowing, but at the very last about 2030 I will most likely run out. Could only hope that other manufacturers won't...
