Hello, this motherboard had a low resistance in L7520 caused of Q7520 i replaced it and its ok now, i also replaced U7501. with io cable installed (J9500) i have only in (L7560 PPDDR_S3_REG_R 3.3V) and i dont have P5VS4RS3_EN , i removed all the coills one by one to see where is the problem and when i lifted (L7430 PDDR_S3_REG_L) and removed (J9500 without io cable installed) i had voltage in (L7520 PP5V_S4RS3 5V) (L7630 P1V05S0_LL 1.0v) and ((L7560 PP5V_S4RS3 3.3V) i checked all power rails and PP1V2_S3 is missing also PP0V6_S0_DDRVTT is missing.all other is ok,i checked for short and all looks ok. also with removed coil in L7430 the one side PDDR_S3_REG_L gives 2v and PPDDR_S3_REG_R 0v i replaced U7400 and still the same.i also noticed that after long time it warms up in the spot i marked in the photo i uploaded.any ideas? :/

This is pretty confusing. Don't remove random components without reason.

by redbaron1007I got a tricky one today in the form of a macbook air A1466 820-00165-A that will recognize the charger and turn the light green then back to orange and the fan will spin constantly, but the system won't power on. The screen never turns on, it doesn't make the bong noise it's supposed to, and pressing the power button doesn't do anything. When I took the board out to visibly inspect it I only found one spot of corrosion on the bios IC. I pulled the chip, cleaned it and the area with IPA and put fresh solder on both and put the bios chip back on, but when I went to test it again it still does the...

by grimacelordBoard had previous liquid damage. It was initially ultrasonic cleaned. Keyboard, battery, and trackpad flex cable were all replaced and it worked fine. Board is back for no power. Hoping someone can help me out here. Voltages taken with board, DCIN board, and original 85W charger only, no battery.

I'm just starting to work on a MacBook Air 820-00165 that will not start up, I have the following measurements. Some voltages are steady while others are pulsing. There was a tiny bit of liquid spill on the board but I believe that I have cleared it up. There doesn't seem to be an obvious short on the board. The board is out and not connected to any of the normal hardware.
STEADY VOLTAGES:
PPBUS_G3H 8.59V
PPBUS_S5_HS_COMPUTING_ISNS 8.59V
PP3V3_S5 3.32V
PP3V3_SUS 3.32
PP3V42_G3H 3.41V

by harshanaLaptop worked perfectly without any issue. suddenly it got stuck and died. I have no idea about the issue. I tried to troubleshoot the issue and I found below things.
I can see 16.57v from magsafe adapter.
I see 12.6v on L7130
also 3.3v on L7560
I can't see 5v. I guess thats the issue. but I can't see any short to ground on that coil. (tested at L7520)
I guess 5v enable signals are missing. please help me to troubleshoot this.
Here I attach the diagrams and brd files I used.... - Loading...
