My motherboard died and I've been researching for a couple of weeks. I finally got some chips in and ripped off a slightly torn DFN mosfet pad while cleaning the board. Any suggestions on a general strategy to repair/replace it? I have the severed pad if it's possible to reattach. thanks, ya'll!

Yep easy Fix Soldering gun & Flux those 2caps are connected with Drain side of the Fet , scratch the broken end on the MB put a jumper, but 1st do a continued test Multimeter , in YOUTUBE you can find many Videos -

put some solder mask, put old ripped of pad ... glue with uv lamp... solder back 2 point with good amount of solder... place mosfet back, remove a bit of the extra solder on it.Comment

Hey techtiger, on that pic you posted: do I just need to connect one of them back to the new chip, or does the mass of multiple wires matter? I'm asking because the drain connects to several things in that area. (pic attached)
If not, could I also just connect to the test point I marked?Comment

by DrvLikHellHello again! I have come back for some wisdom and hopefully for some guidance with this problem I'm having. The TV is a 4k 55" Sharp LC-55p6050u and the problem is every other line of the bottom 32 lines flickers out, comes mostly back, then flickers out again, and repeats this continually. The lines on the bottom right of the screen go out completely while the lines on the bottom left are affected so slightly that it's almost impossible to see it. There is a gradual gradient from appearing almost perfectly fine on the bottom left, to an obvious problem on the bottom right.

by KCLim168I have this issue with my LCD TV. The bottom part of the screen colour is a bit off from the rest. And the refresh on that part seems to be slower and thus I get ghosty image. (kindly refer to the attached photo)
Is this likely to be an easily fixable problem?
Appreciate guidance from whomever knows the likely cause of this problem.
Thank you very much1 Photo -

by ee91137Hi,
I'm looking for assistance with a Mac mini (M4, 2024), model A3238 (Model MCYT4LL/A), which I recently purchased. The front USB-C ports are not providing power.
Upon inspection, I've identified that a chip and an adjacent capacitor have been physically ripped off the logic board near the SSD connector.
Could anyone provide information on the specifications of this missing chip? Additionally, I would greatly appreciate it if anyone has access to the schematics and board view for the Mac mini A3238 logic board.
Thanks for your help!

by sam_sam_samSo I got the bright idea to remove the LED light module from the fixture and put it on top of another enclosure and keep using the zapper
The removal of light module was a successful and now I just have to cut a hole in the enclosure and put a power cord that has an on and off switch on it
You are lucky to get about two years of service out of one before the LED module starts flicking and just stops working because it is mounted on an aluminum plate and these are hard to solder on it and it is not worth messing around with them and especially this one because it has line... - Loading...
