Check Hall1 connector on the mb.What is the voltage on PIN2 and 4?? If pin2 has no voltage, then jumper a wire between pin2 and pin4 and you will get display for sure. -

Baclight but no image? Black screen or white screen?
Could always be the usual dead GPU on this machine.OpenBoardView — https://github.com/OpenBoardView/OpenBoardViewComment

Hall sensor is there on Pg70 and pin1 and3 are non connected. How you have 19V there. The hall sensor is located at the extreme right hand lower side near 3/5v regulator IC. I still feel you are measuring at some other location or your measurements are wrong.Comment

You've proved i was right in assuming that you are measuring at wrong location. You are measuring at LVDS ConnectorLCD1. I asked you to measue HALL1 connector for which i've given you even an idea about its location.
Now locate it correctly and measure pin2 and 4.Comment

by TheQuentinccHi,
I have a Dell XPS 9300 that's working perfectly fine with an external display plugged, from windows the internal display isn't detected. At boot I can see the Dell logo then when it should display the boot/bios or whatever the screen goes black (no backlight, no image using a flashlight). I tried unplugging everything on the motherboard except the eDP cable but it didn't helped (so it's not the lid sensor). LCDVDD/backlight power are powered down when this happen, PANEL_BKEN_EC and ENVDD_PCH are also down to 0v. It's weird, it almost feels like the motherboard is shutting down the display... -
