a1475 ….drawing 5v 600ma. device boots up, black screen with apple logo, then just hangs on a nothing screen with backlight lit. scanned the board for obvious signs of damage. everywhere i spot checked showed no short to ground. checked connectors and pins, look good. everything seated properly. i know that the device should be booting with around 1 amp …but never ramps up to this stage. should i be searching for a filter on a data line or? any thoughts/ suggestions are welcomed.

not yet. i didnt want to upset anything that i couldnt recover from. is this going to stop from proceeding on troubleshooting this device, or is the first step?Comment

factory reset got it after replacing the battery. battery was shorted and puffy, corrupted data on nand.Comment
