    Intermittent WDC Harddrive ?

    Dear Member,

    My WDC 250Gb Harddrive, sometimes can not be detected by BIOS ?
    What's the issue with it ?
    Can it be a power supply issue ? I'm using 430W with double VGA
    2xSSD 2x HDD
    65W CPU

    i had some of that problem, and apparently it's a hard disk failure. even on usb box it give same error... motor start... then ges off then on again and then it works, but i wont put any important data on it as sometimes do that loop on of more then once.

      More likely, corrosion on the HDD board!

        today i heat up the big chip on hard disk board, and looks like it power on and stay that mode without going on on -off then on
