820-2915 2010 Macbook Pro 15" Doesn't Detect Battery in OS

    Hello, I have a 2010 Macbook Pro 15" (Logic board 820-2915).

Battery is not detected in the operating system, does not show any battery symbol in top bar (on lastest MacOS High Sierra). System info shows battery not installed. Green light on charger and does boot.

I've tested several known good working batteries but no luck. Tried disconnecting battery indicator and rebooting but did not seem to help. Battery indicator does not show any lights (with or without power applied). The batteries I have to test with have been sitting for quite some time so they are most likely depleted (so I'm not sure if the board will run off battery).

SMC/PRAM reset attempted but also didn't seem to do anything.

No short to GND on SMBUS_SMC_BSA_SCL 6.49v or SMBUS_SMC_BSA_SDA 6.50v

    PPBUS_G3H is 12.57V

Any suggestions? Boardview and schematics are attached.

Are you 100% sure your batteries are good and compatible with the machine?
Any damage to the battery connector on the board or the traces around it? Does it look like it makes good contact with the battery?
    R6950 good?

This is a 2011 model btw.

No noticeable damage near connector. Continuity seems to be good between traces and battery pins. R6950 seems good, 10kOhm. Plugged into another mac battery shows fine (0% charging).

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
        by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

820-00850 2019 MacBook Pro 13" Touch Bar (A1989) mysterious battery drain
        by gboone
Hi, I was given this laptop by my uncle who said:
        • It would occasionally shutdown if not plugged in
        • battery had been replaced
        • touchbar would "strobe"
I disconnected touch bar components and strobing and sudden shutdowns were fixed. Recent updates were installed to the OS.

After fully charging the battery, with bluetooth disabled, no LAN cable and only wifi enabled, the laptop stayed on (screen on) for about 6-8 hours. Allowing screen to turn off while not in use, and it went for over a day.

        BUT

When powered off, it would at some point have a...

MacBook Air A2681 battery problem after Screen Replacement
        by mferna14
Hi, my dear friends., Maybe this might be a stupid question or something I missed or do not know. I have 2 MacBook Air A2681 (Indentical color & EMC #), both LCD screens broken. Before ordering the LCD Screens I confirmed both worked with their respective batteries & AC Adapters, & they did 100%. The LCD Screens came in today & I replaced LCD for the 1st A2681. (Removed Battery Terminal cable for both Laptops before installation of LCDs). Perfect Screen & Booted up fine. But it did not work with battery. I checked the battery connector & it was seated in well/perfectly....

Macbook a1707 820-00281 Battery no Power
        by leonemax81
Hi guys I have a Macbook a1707 with motherboard 820-00281, without liquid damage that behaves strangely, with the battery connected the Macbook does not turn on and the USBC meter stops at 5v in loop, when I disconnect the battery the Macbook turns on and works fine, I have already tried to replace the battery twice without success, as soon as I connect the black cable of the battery the Macbook does not turn on, it stops at 5v and in loop.

Vostro 3400 (LA-K033P) won't charge battery, everything else ok
        by techfreak9356
I bought a Vostro 3400 motherboard (LA-K033P) to upgrade over my damaged Inspiron 5593 (LA-J091P) board. Everything else is ok except for the battery. This battery I am using now is already a replacement one since I disposed of the bloated original one. Back in the Inspiron 5593 motherboard, the battery charges fine and is identified just fine. However, with the upgraded motherboard, suddenly the replacement battery is labeled as "Not a dell battery". When I borrow a similar battery from my colleague (which did not have replacements yet), it is identified and charges just fine.
