This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). Hello, I'm looking for bios chip on the motherboard on Dell Inspiron 7610. Server tag: CS4MDL3. I found on the back on the motherboard chip named: Winbond 25Q256JVEQ. Is it the right bios chip for this motherboard? I need to flash new bios on the chip, because it's stuck in infinity reboots. I have a problem on a DELL E7240, LA-9431P motherboard (rev 1.0).
This is a laptop that I recovered, it had liquid dammage and had corrupted bios.
I reprogrammed bios + ec (v A.29 ME Clear)
I cleaned everything, after reassembly, it boots and it smells like burnt after a few seconds ... I disassembly the motherboard and see that the Power Management chip (in attached photo) has burnt!

I bought a Dell G3 3579 eBay. The fault was not mentioned and it did not come with charger. Before trying to power off battery, I did some basic checks on the coils (in resistance mode) to see if there was any short. None were reading short. Decided to power the board to see if anything happened. The keyboard backlight came on. About 5 seconds later, the fans begin spinning at max speed.
