the board will turn off itself once it reaches the temp wherein it will protect the cpu from getting fried. so most likely the cpu is fine.
testing another cpu is a great idea, but for now, you must check if you have cpu voltage(vcore). you may also check the vcore inductors for their resistance to ground with/without the cpu inserted.
you may also inspect the cpu socket for bent or broken pins.
i thinks those are what we needed for now.Leave a comment:

acer veriton x4650g schematic or boardview
hi, i need schematic or boardview for acer desktop. veriton x4650g, board marking is b25h4-ad. -
i just recently fixed an hp laptop with artifacting issue, i just resolder each pin of the ram slot and the problem goes away. u may try tapping each pin with a solder iron with a little amount of solder on it, of course put some flux on pins amd solder... be careful not to put a lot of solder to prevent pins bridges... at first i thought the ram slot is not the issue as i also inspecred under mscope all pins are good. u may try also...Leave a comment:

Re: redfox ez3540-i85iw bios
still i suspect to be a bios, since voltages are present, the pch and cpu is getting warm and hot(not so hot, just anormal temp when board is on) indicating that they are working when turn on.Leave a comment:
