    MacBook Pro 820-2915 no backlight

Ok when I received this Mac it had no chime and mouse connected did nothing
I looked over cpuvcore and restored it. There was work done and a few joints weren't soldered well. No I have a issue with the onboard audio and no image
I plug a mouse in and it now blinks. Im looking at the schematic and see u9000 gets power from r9094 and r9094 gets powered by q9607.

    L9000 0v
    R9094 0v on both 1-2
Q9607 on en I get .3 v is one of these internally shorted ?
    R9676 :
    pin 1 pp3v3= 3.3
    pin 2 gmux_s3_pd_en =.3v
    C9010 0v on both pins
    All_sys_pwrgd 3.3v

I thought since the onboard speaker wasn't working it might be the 3.3 power rail
Might have a issue but everywhere I search for this rail it's good. Please if my diagnoses is off please let me know. thank you everyone

    820-2915 = dead GPU.
Not sure why would someone mess around CPU VCore though.

Dear god I never want to see this board in my life again... I've done two UMA conversions on those. I'll never touch them again

      TLDR:
      Not worth your time. Unfixable.

You want ASD 3S144 or 3S148 not AHT, ASD provides more information. (it's not distributed by Apple since it's their internal diagnostics software but you can find it on the web)

Well the WiFi issue was the cable 821-1311a one of the pins damaged. And the keyboard I saw it when I first opened it has a hole so I think someone burned the keyboard even though backlight still works. I’m ordering a new one. As for the trackpad I just don’t know as of yet

I searched for ASD 3S148 for a few days now with no luck. Does anyone got any hint?

                      by Comp_Pro
                      Hello all,

Am trying to figure out this backlight issue with this A1990 Macbook Pro.

                      Tests performed:

There is no backlight even with a good screen.
Backlight IC is receiving the correct support voltages.
                      Fuse F8400 ok
                      Current sense resistor R8400 ok
Backlight IC is receiving 3.3V on enable pin.
Backlight IC receiving voltage from PPBUS_G3H, aprox 12.5V.
Backlight IC receiving 5V from PP5V_G3S
Backlight IC BKLT_SCL and BKLT_SDA both measure 0.545V diode mode to ground
                      I2C_BKLT_SCL and I2C_BKLT_SDA both measure...

Macbook Pro A2442 820-02098 No image but has backlight
                      by Constantinos
                      Hi all
I have a Macbook Pro A2442 with the 820-02098 from a friend which has no picture on the display, however, the backlight works.
He was streaming a football match on a questionable site, then the site crashed, and the problem emerged.
Initially, he sent it to apple, who quoted him £1323.95 to replace the display, lid angle sensor and top case.
Obviously, he decided against this and gave it to me so that I could have a crack at it.
From initial diagnostics, I connected to an external monitor, I first tried with a HP 22W monitor, and I booted into the boot menu...

MacBook Pro A1909 LCD (no backlight)

                      Hello Everyone,
I'm looking at purchasing a used LCD from ebay for my macbook A1990 2018 15inch which LCD I cracked. Since new / used but working displays cost around 500$ , I found a Grade A+ LCD display for A1990 which has a good price of 110$ but has no backlight.
I would need just to make sure that what I know/my reasoning is correct:

                      - No backlight means flexgate issue, therefore changingthe flexcable would be enough (I can microsolder to fix the flexgate problem, done it a few times already)
                      - Seller confirmed its a LCD issue, and not an issue with the...
