Synology DS418play need to locate a tps65094 replacement
Hi I recieved a synology disk station yesterday with a no power fault. Witty shorts on multiple power rails. After dividing the power rails. I've narrowed it down to this tps65094 chip having dead shorts on buck converter 2, 3, 4. After lifting the chip from the board all shorts vanish. Testing the chip itself it has shorts on these rails. Mouser has a 52 week lead time and digikey has 0 in stock. Does anyone on here have a distributor that offers them ? Some have stock but only sell a minimum of 2000pcs :/ I would like to purchase 2-4pcs

Replacement inductor L7710 for 820-4924
Hi I’ve searched digikey and mouser and haven’t found a direct replacement. All the donors i have (which are just 3)oddly have the same inductor damaged although the inductor works it’s just a eye sore. Does anyone have a direct replacement with the right size height and with or something close? Here are the specs DEM803C-SM 22uh 20% 2.4a 0.1050ohm.Last edited by ligym60; 03-31-2021, 08:13 AM. -

My last question is on pp3v3S5_LL I have a weird overshot when testing with oscilloscope I Like a mosfet q7560 issue I've checked the snuber circuit and it seems fine. First I’d like to make sure I indeed do have cpu fan activity. It’s unclear to me at this point if it is.
I just verified that It does boot
Second would be chime which also could be just audio circuit as it was also water damaged
My last question is this on I have a weird spike on pp3v3S5_LL I have a weird overshot when testing with oscilloscope I have a weird spike. Like a mosfet q7560 issue I’ve checked the snuber circuit and it seems good. I don’t want it to kill it in the future. 820-4924 no chime
Hi I wanna start by saying this board was heavily damaged. when i got it it was completely dead. What's been replaced so far that had corrosion. u1900, u8030, u7400, q7320, q7321, q7310, q7311 and a few capacitors around u7400. I get backlight but the screen it came in with is cracked and the HDMI port doesn't work the area around u9750 had corrosion as well. I will order u9750 when and if I get a chime.
I'm not running it long because i believe the u5870 chip might not be working as the fans haven't spun even after waiting 60-90 seconds. I have 2 working 820-4924 that take a while...Last edited by ligym60; 02-27-2021, 10:58 AM. -

@piernov Hi I rechecked the power rails and it seems that all are up and running. I still question the clk as it is unstable sometimes reading good other times not. I have a few u1900 chips i was thinking of replacing it before trying another u3900. I figured I'd ask before sacrificing another chip. Have i missed something? any other thoughts before i proceed?

No, I didn't see the multi media controller " Broadcom" only network controller with lspci it didn't show
I inspected u3900 under a microscope again but its very tight with the board. These chips I bought from a china I ordered 3 of them. I have 2 boards with the same exact issue and both had water damage around SMC chip. Before I replace u3900 i'd like to trace from PCH to u3900 and from u3900 to camera. Hi I have a 2- 820-00165 with the same issue No camera detected
History: Both had water damage around SMC. both when i got them had no green light. repaired a few blown resistors and traces. everything works

1) I inspected the connector pins J4002 for continuity to inside pins i also checked for pin clearance. Replace the entire cable and camera/ALS cable including new camera module. Still the same issue. Checked all the filters going to j4002 and voltages.

Well the WiFi issue was the cable 821-1311a one of the pins damaged. And the keyboard I saw it when I first opened it has a hole so I think someone burned the keyboard even though backlight still works. I’m ordering a new one. As for the trackpad I just don’t know as of yetLeave a comment:
