Charging Issue comes back after few days ( Bios Reprogram Fixes it only Temporarily )

    Motherboard : CSL50/CSL52 LA-E791P REV 2.0

Issue : Charging works fine as soon as I reprogram the bios ( Bios bin file is available on this forum ) . Then after few days ..like 4-7 days, ti again stops charging and battery shows as 100% always. If I unplug the AC adapter, the laptop shuts down immediately.

Has anyone every has similar issue ?

Thank you everyone for this wonderful forum.

Have you tried HP authentic battery on the machine ?. I have seen bizarre issues with cheap China brand battery packs. One of my friend has such an issue. The new compatible battery work for a few days and fails. He replace under warranty and the cycle repeats. Finally he gave up and bought an authentic battery and since then everything fine now.

Thanks for your input . The current battery is an Original HP battery. Unfortunately I do not have a spare battery for the same

Can confirm that there are a *lot* of garbage batteries on the market lately. Not uncommon to get 2 bad batteries (or even 3) in a row.
        I'd suspect the battery first.
