820 2936 chimes, backlight present but lcd is black

    820 2936 chimes, backlight present but lcd is black

    It came in with dimm green light, liquid damage...
    Fixed green light, bios chip was knocked off the board.
    Replaced lvds connector and lcd backlight fuse.
    I took out bios chip from a donor 2879 board without reprogramming it...
    Now it chimes and fans spins.
    Lcd blcklight voltage is 27.2v on d9701
    I can see the backlight comming on the screen but screens remains “black-ish”
    Can’t see any logo or question mark folder lighting with flashlight from the back of lcd...
    I tried 3 screens all known working, same result...
    Any ideea where to look?

      You waited for like a minute or so?
      Try a USB drive with macOS on it and check if its activity LED blinks.

          Yes, i tried, it has activity, but the screen is still black

                  Try PRAM reset and try with external display.

                      I think it has some issues with keyboard also, i tried pram reset but it won’t do it...
                      I will flash new bios in minutes and see if it helps...

                          New bios 820-2879b didn’t work (although my board is 2879a)
                          Pram reset didn’t work...
                          I think it’s some bad trace from or to lvds connector?!?

                              Hello, I'm working on a new deskmod pc project and have a problem with my monitor, an AOC U34G3XM, well, I may have bricked it.

                              The monitor was dismanteled and the separate parts parts integrated in the desk. the screen panel alone is on the upper part, and main board/video board + power board on the back of the desk (not enough place on the cover to fit it)

                              I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

                              I have a 2019 75" x950g, and while playing a movie, the screen suddenly went dark in a weird way, where it faded towards one corner into being fully black. Now the TV turns on, and the backlight comes on, but there is nothing displayed except black. Sound still comes through the TV speakers, and i have tried doing a hard reset using the volume - and power buttons while plugging the display back in, but it did not fix it. I can confirm that pressing buttons on my remote is still doing "something" because I'm hearing sound still, even though the screen is black.

                              Hopefully someone can help me out. This tv was working perfectly until a few weeks ago. At some point, the TV just faded to black, but sound continued playing. It almost looked like smoke on the screen as it faded from the bottom left corner toward the top right. Took only a second or less, but wasn't instant.
