    How to check

I would like to replace battery cells in a battery module of Lenovo Yoga Tab2 10.1 .( It is a tablet).
Here is a video how to do that.

But not sure if it is co easy.
How can I find out if it is necessary to reset any chip on PCB in the battery pack? ( there are only 3 battery).

no need to reset, but solder wire to battery is not easy and can damage battery

Thanks for the reply. But how can you be so sure that NO reset is needed?

Do you mean you have a practical experience with that Lenovo Tablet?
Can you recomend where to buy the cells? I heard eBay is not good because of fakes( quality)

Years ago I tryed to replace battery pack and was indispensable reset or reprogramm chip inside pack with philips protocol and an external hardware, I read that with this type of lenovo no reprogramm is needed, it's a common solution for other brands or it's an exception ?

              Re: How to check

when u have totally killed battery, than u have GREAT chance that needs reset because that battery must know to NOT CHARGE/WORK. if your battery work just a little, u have big chance that after replace of cells it works ok

but why doing this kind of work when complete battery cost 25e?
i better buy complete battery and if u really want than replace cells on removed battery

jasko_jacker: I have not tried yet to relace the battery, so not sure if it is an exception.
But what do you mean byI read that with this type of lenovo no reprogramm is needed. Did you have a similar Lenovo?
