    HP 450 G0 Charging port blinking

    Hi all,
    I have problem with this laptop. Only LED on charging port blinking. There is no 3.3V voltage on bios chip. Please help me identify chip from the picture and upload schematic if someone have. Thanks.

    Re: HP 450 G0 Charging port blinking

    I have 3.3V always power here, on power button also. I don't have voltage on the bios chip, I don't know why. Have someone schematic please? I found only similliar schematic, I attached it.

    When I inject 3.3V to bios chip, LED on charging port blink and stay off, but after press power button nothing happen.

      R2509 Out side you should get 3D3V_AUX_S5 from Pin 8 RT8223MZQW 5/3 Volt regulater LDO3 inside of R2509 connected to Bios chip 1 pin 8/3 Bios2 pin8/3 3.3v

        Re: HP 450 G0 Charging port blinking

        I know but schematic is different, I have only one bios here and I can't find this resistor.

        I found two resistors connected to 8pin of bios chip,near them, but there is no voltage on both sides of these resistors.
        One of them is connected from SPI_CS pin to SPI_PWR - in schematic R2517 4k7 but my resistor is bad. I replaced it and connect bios 8pin with wire straight to VREG3, but there is big current consumption because voltage drops to 1V...

          Had the same Problem with an HP ProBook 6570b, when I used the original HP charger, the Problem disappeared

            I have new original HP 4.7A charger. And Id PIn on charging port is ok.
            When I inject 3.3v to bios chip current consumptiion is 130mA and when I also connect charger 370mA.

                Where can be the problem if this power good signal is missing? Thanks.

                    I would prefer check continuity between pin 8 bios chips to know where is source of power, where that pin is connect?
                    According schematic S-Series Intel Shark Bay as reference, the source connect via resistor R2508/switching or R2509/LDO (both value are 0 ohm or just jumper pad/shorted)
                    DY/light green= not installed.
                    3D3V_S5 =output RT8223M switching
                    3D3V_AUX_S5= LDO of RT8223M.
                    -ADP_DET shoud be high
                    -LID_SW# should be high.
                    Also pin 18 for Enable switching didn't go high. That's why there aren't outputs of IC RT8223 on grey coils.
                    The amperage have approx 130-370mA mean have resistance 9-24ohm, seem to low. Correct me if I wrong to calculate it. Look like this rail have little shorted.

                      if u dont have 3.3 on bios and without bios it have it, than u must have bad bios or some component on that line

                        LID_SW# - 3.3V
                        ADP_DET - 3.3V

                        bios chip is good and there is no voltage if is bios soldered or not. And from bios 8 pin it comes inside the motherboard.

                              So ENC enable 2 SMPS plus connected internally to VREG3 , then your RT8223M is faulty in that stage is your 3/5V ALWS output after pressing Power Button? or after inject 3.3v to ENC ? And for the PGOOD signel comes after pressing power button or after 3/5V ALWS ?
                              Thanks

                                    He mentioned that laptop fail because of that port,and simply become dead,and most of the models fail because of that port.

                                    Long story short:
                                    - dad converted Asus Chromebox CN62 into Windows compatible, with mrchromebox BIOS, years and years ago
                                    - gave the computer to his son a couple years later
                                    - son now decided to revert it to Chrome OS, to sell it as original (re-writing BIOS with the backup one created by his dad)
