Dell Inspiron 5520 BIOS recovery help needed

    Hi!

So the story is. The laptop's battery is dead, so I have tried to update BIOS from recovery mode. Extracted the .fd file from official BIOS updater with WinRaR, placed it on a FAT32 pendrive, and started the laptop with END key + plugging in power adapter to get in recovery mode. When the beeps finished, I have tried to turn it off with pressing power button, but it won't react. So waited for about 15 minutes, still nothing, pulled out power cable. After that, the laptop didn't do anything, can't turn it on, can't enter recovery, it's fully dead, just there is power on USB ports. I have disassembled it, flashed downloaded dumps (attached them) to the SPI chips, and tried to turn it on. Still nothing.

What I have missed, why it's not working? Any help is really appreciated.

    🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
    by macabook
    Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
    🧩 Initial Issue
    • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
    • External display (HDMI) shows

Dell Inspiron 15 3511 Bios Needed
    by urad29
    Hi all,
I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3511 (Service tag: FY3C9T3) which is not booting past the Dell logo and I cannot enter the BIOS by pressing F2.
I therefore believe that the BIOS is corrupted.
I have spent some time trying to figure it all out as I have managed to reprogram BIOS's in the past.
The motherboard has two chips, one is a 25Q64JVSIQ and the other is a 25Q128JVSQ.
Firstly, how do I know which one is the BIOS, or are they both BIOS (have only worked on single BIOS boards).
Secondly, I cannot seem to get a bin file or the like from the BIOS exe...
