    Asus X751LD no Power

I have no Power no LED´s

There are 19V before first fet but no voltage (swapping between 100mV and 200mV) on Gate.
Checked the two dc-in fets with multimeter from Drain to Source and it seems all ok.

But the fet on the second picture has 30 Kohms in one way and 250 kohms in the other... Is this one shorted?

How can I check the capacitor marked in picture?

On bq24735 I have 18V? on VCC, 6V on REGN and 2.6V on ACDET.

Got 0.4 V on several pins for battery?

Or is it some other problem?

      Re: Asus X751LD no Power

The capacitor must not be shorted and that's all.
Also check gate-drain and gate-source on both MOSFET (next to the circled capacitor).
The MOSFET circled in the second picture is for working on battery voltage, doesn't matter here, several kiloohms is not a short.

On the other hand we can clearly see a burnt mark on resistor marked 100 right next to the circled capacitor. Check the resistance across its leads, but I guess it will need to be replaced.

Yes, you are right... The resistor need to be replaced. I measured 2 kohms not 10 ohms.

I also tested gate-drain and gate-source on both Mosfets... I´m not sure about the second one... I will replace it as soon as possible and post the results here.

Thanks first for the quick reply

Check that 10 ohm resistor, it suplies the chrg chip, resistor its blown due a short after it

@pascalou95370, you should start a fresh thread for assistance.

You have no power to this Asus ?

                  hello,
Thank you for your answer, I don't know on which post I should ask my questions?.
I am French and I have a little trouble with the English language.
The ASUS pc works great, but the fan doesn't spin
                  the computer heats up.
I recall that fan works on another pc.

It will be easier for future readers to follow if this case is a fresh thread.

Goto your bios, can you read the cpu temperature?

If the fan is not defective but still off, then the temperature sensor may be defective or unable to measure the cpu temperature.

                      Hello,
I want to go to the right topic, but I don't understand English.
for the temperature sensor, I don't know where it is, that's why I'm looking for the diagram.
this would allow me to follow the power supply of the fan and its temperature sensor.

If anyone could give me some information on this error.
The pc works, but heats up and the video becomes unreadable.

                            Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                            Assuming...

                            Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

Hello, I have an issue with the motherboard. Specifically, it doesn't power on, more precisely, the POST initialization doesn't occur.

Let me start from the beginning, the motherboard suddenly stopped working one day. There are no beep signals from the speaker, and the debug LEDs are not lighting up. After inspecting it under a microscope and using thermal imaging, I didn't find anything that could be damaged.

After that, I began voltage measurements, in which I noticed the absence of VDDQ, VDDP, VTT, and VPP lines. Later, I checked if there is an EN state on these lines,...

Hello, I have an asus Z97-A motherboard and it doesn't start which was working properly before, the problem isn't related by ram, ram slots or psu (I changed all and nothing work), the exact problem is when you switch it on , it starts and after 1 seconds (no boot or display picture) it's off and then on cycle continuously until you power it off from psu also it's responding to the power switch for turning it off if you keep pressing it 3 or 4 seconds (power button pin has 3.3v) , also when you start it with eatx 12v socket connected this is happening (power cycle also all voltages are resetting...
