    asus g750 not charging battery

First, there was a short in 19v line, it was shorting charger. I found capacitor PCE6000-poscap 15uf/25v was dead, replaced it, laptop starts, everything is fine but it will not charge battery.
I checked and i found mosfets pq8805 and pq8804 were shorted, i replaced them. No short on battery line now. But...battery is stil not charging... when there is no battery i have on bat_con arround 2.6 v (this is fine) but when i plug the battery i have 0.8v on bat_con (this is bed, should be arround 17v). AC_BAT_SYS is ok, its arround 19V. What am i missing?

Oh, one more thing i tried second battery and it is the same thing, and second, this i am not sure, but i believe first time i replaced mosfets, and while the laptop was dissasembled i was getting 17v on bat_con but later never again (although i am not 100% sure of this....)

Re: asus g750 not charging battery

Update...i didnt change charging chip yet....first i tried to reset the bios and srtcrst and rtcrst..
After that something changed.... i have arround 11.9 volt on bat_con...then i tried the second battery, the readings were 12.9 volt relating ground...i even found third battery from local repair shop and the reading is 15.9 vol lol oh, and only one battery if i left it for couple of minutes is charging a little...after i unplug the charger the laptop will stay on for a couple of seconds on this battery, on two other batteries nothing, shuttdown immediately after i unplug the charger. In details:
      1. First battery not charging, multimeter reading from 11.90 v, and continuously rising in a second for a 0.01 v, the reading looks like 11.91,11.92,11.93,11.94...it rises till 12.90 maybe even more, didnt check.
      2. Second battery charging a bit, multimeter reading from 12.90 v and continuously rising in a second for a 0.01 v, the reading looks like 12.91,12.92,12.93,12.94...it rises till 13.90 maybe even more, didnt check.
      3. Third battery not charging, multimeter readings are jumping it looks like 15.90,15.82,15.95,15.91,15.85,15.90...and in a circle...(maybe dead battery?)

So, charging chip still to blame? or something leaking on mosfets,or...? thank you

When battery is charged try removing AC adapter then measure the voltage on bat_con if its too low then your laptop is turning off because of undervoltage battery problem. Measure the Ampere of the batteries after fully charged too.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
            by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

HP ProBook 445 G8 Battery not charging
            by Julian Bailey
            Hi all

We have in a HP ProBook 445 G8 laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 CPU. When power is connected the power LED light blinks 5 times then stops. Normally HP laptops will blink this LED 10 times as it does a self test when the AC adaptor is inserted. So there must be some sort of short somewhere.

The battery doesn't charge, and is erratic on the MM voltage. Bench PSU LED pulsates when the battery is connected also. So the fault must be on the charging circuit?

I have gone around the board with a MM and cant find anything

            Windows shows the battery fine,...

            Laptop battery charging circuit
            by piernov
            1. Some theory
            1.1. Introduction
Almost every laptop has a charging circuit of some sort, that does a few things:
            • Manages switching between AC adapter and battery power
            • Manages battery charging and generates power rail to charge battery

There are 2 different designs to handle switching between AC adapter and battery power and feeding the system:
            • Hybrid power boost (HPB) and traditional circuits without power boost (see Warning in HPB section)
            • Narrow VDC (NVDC)

Texas instrument has a nice overview of these technologies with some more details at https:...

ThinkBook 15 G3 ACL Not Charging Battery - LA-K602P Board
            by kodox
since i couldn't find schematic or boardview for this model (LA-K062P), i use closest board model found here https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...-and-boardview

the schematic share same marking for each component, using same PD-Controller, same BQ25710, the only different is the battery cell used. LA-K061P uses 3S battery while LA-K062P use 4S battery per schematic.
            what i've done:

Razor Blade Steath 13" RZ09-01963 plugged in Not Charging (new battery)
            by Shinju
            Hey All!

Long time forum member here with a problematic laptop issue!

I got a RZ09-0196 with a bloated battery (still worked and charged fine) I pulled the old cell pack out and installed a new cell pack in its place.

The laptop would not power on with the new battery installed without the power supply being plugged in.

When booting into Win10 (all up to date BTW) I saw the battery icon with 49% plugged in not charging.

TL;Dr version, old battery worked, charged but was bloated, installed a new non OEM replacement, laptop/windows...
