Hello everyone,
I have a very weird problem with a Dell N7010 DAUM9BMB6D0 REV
with i3 processor. It came to me with problem that it won't start. Connect it to the lab power supply, it lights on and uses just 17mAmps and after a few seconds it shuts down.
I said ok, lets test with ddm on continuity. I see that the CPU coil is shorted to ground with 0.02Ω. I change the CPU with a C2D that I have as a spare, the laptop works. I said great, the CPU is dead.
I then try a used i3 processor and the same happens. This processor I test it on the laptop that I took it off and it works.
The Dell processor on the other laptop won't work.
Any suggestion what to test? I'm really confused with that one.
Thank you
John
