    HP DV6-6000 HPMH-41-AB6200 Strange Behaviour

    Model Hp Dv6-6000
    Platform-HPMH-41-AB6200-D00G

All voltage rails are present,Dc jack Light glows.
Problem: If i lift U22(Ec Eeprom) and resolder it, m/b starts switching and botts as well but if i switch it off for 10 mins,it refuses to switch again.

What i have done so far:
    1. I have flashed both the eeproms with working dump from another m/b,still same.

    2. Changed eeprom chips,still same

    3. Changed kbc IT8518,still same.

I have not noticed any difference in voltages around u22 when it boots and when it doesnt switches.

What can be the reason friends??

I seek your advice as i'm really puzzled with this strange case.

SIO is near U22 and not on back side. I have already replaced Sio and it is from working m/b. i have checked connectivity of sio pins and all are fine. No corrosion near sio or U22 or even back side. I have re-soldered all the components near and below U22. All resistance ratings in this area matches with working m/b.

          What next??

              What are the voltage on pin 16, 24, 13, 1, 7 and 8 of PU4? Voltage on pin 2 of PQ113?
You could try to replace PU4.

I solved the problem on this board. Problem found on PU4 and PU2. I replaced PU4 and switched on and i found PU2 gets hot. So i replaced it also. Now the problem solved. Thanks for ideas.

                    Micro Momentary Push Switch?
                    by Natob82
Great to be here! I'm a newbie here trying to find a "micro", momentary push switch to repair a Sony "clamshell" video walkman. This micro switch has long since discontinued by Sony, however I hope there are third-party switches of the same size and functionality that I might be able to source to play the same role. The purpose of this switch is to tell the video walkman that the user has activated the mechanical tape eject button, turning that physical action into an electronic signal that tells the tape transport mechanism to open so one can load or eject a video tape. I...

NEC TurboExpress On/Off Power Switch Replacement Help
                    by grimacelord
                    Hello,

I've been working on a NEC TurboExpress and I accidentally got the plastic inside the power ON/OFF switch too hot while doing other repairs and melted it. At first, it would still power on when sliding the switch, but you had to really press inward while sliding to get it to work.

I removed the switch component and tried to gently melt the plastic back so it would work more reliably and all I managed to do was make it worse.

I need to find a replacement On/OFF switch for this, but having some trouble figuring out which kind of switch I need....

Help making a switch work the opposite way with a relay
                    by SluggerB
I have a very small float switch, I'm using in a very small tank. It only fits in one way. Link https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-Switch.../dp/B07DZ1J2GB

I want the switch to be open when the water is high, and closed when the water is low. Unfortunately it works the opposite. And since this switch is designed to be underwater, it's all sealed up, there is no taking it apart or hacking it up.

It will be driving a water pump, basic idea, when the water is low, switch closes, which turns on water pump, when enough water is in the tank, float switch floats,...

                    93C46 and 93C56 EEPROM
                    by SidneyCanadas
I tore apart my instrument cluster for my 2008 Toyota Corolla made in 2007 in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and pcb location: IC6=EEPROM is a surface mounted device with part # of 93C46W7, some claim the EEPROM out of a Camry part # 93C56 will allow odometer to roll over 299 999 KM or miles. The data sheet for both is below:

                    https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...c6e42b20d3.pdf 2

Anyone know if the Camry one will work on my Corolla?. And which EEPROM reader/writers do you all recommend I purchase that will allow me to read the old values of the old...
