    216-0833002 compatibility?

Hello everybody & happy new year.

Been trying to find a solution about this chipset. I have received several VAIO laptops with this chipset that had problem on the picture, no picture or scrambled picture with artifacts (gpu chipset problem). Now my trusted dealer can't find a new one for months and I have already tried 216-0833000 but with no result.
Has anyone find a compatible one or can suggest a trustworthy dealer? I have purchased from ebay those saying 100% brand new but unfortunately after 15-20 days the laptops come back so it is not good stuff.
If I can remember correct Toshiba laptops have the same chipset too. I can tell for sure that on laptops with 216-0833000,216-0833002 works perfectly but not the opposite.

    Thanks in advance!

Changing that chip requires modified bios that can work with another. There are moded bios somewhere on forum for toshiba with same chip substitute

      Hello,

Thanks for your kind reply but the laptops that I need a substitute chipset are mostly VAIO series SVE17 and SVE15 that have 216-0833002. I don't think that there are modded bios files for these machines. Can anybody suggest a trustworthy dealer with new chips of this type or if someone had success using a substitute for this one would be very helpful for me.

      Thanks

          @crowntoy99 I had success on sve15 & sve17 laptops swapping 216-0833002 with 216-083300.

I really hate when someone is begging here for solution and after they find it, they dont answer to anyone and dont write it here how they fix it. They are so selfish. i really hate them

Activation of Management Engine after exchange Z590 chipset - ASUS PRIME Z590M-PLUS
                    by DynaxSC
Hi, i have an ASUS PRIME Z590M-PLUS board, which had an shorted Z590 chipset. I have succesfully exchanged the chipset to a factory new one, however there is a serious problem with the Intel Management Engine (later on: ME) not beeing activated after the chipset device replacement.

For lower chipset families (on ASUS boards) it worked to program the oldest bios version into the SPI rom, and the bios had activated the Management Engine itself by default - there was a message on the screen prior booting - "BIOS is updating Management Engine ..... . Do not shut down to prevent...

I believe Chip 2 is BIN is the main one as it contained the Windows product key, marked with XXXXX for now.

                    dz87m01 chipset upgrade
                    by TWISTED 88
So I got this dell motherboard. its a dz87m01 came out of a xps 8700 desktop i believe. it wont post I did some checking on it and was pretty sure the chipset was bad I have a bga rework station so I removed it and it looks like i was right. so i know this thing is old and pointless to put money in but a new chipset is around 25$ and i like fixing things that don't work .

so question is to the people smarter than me is there a possible upgraded chipset that would be compatible as a replacement. The current one is the sr176

                    CD3217B12 compatibility
                    by 2wtn
Hi all, have been lurking here for quite some time, and now my first post

People who have experience replacing CD3217B12 chips (on macbooks), I have a few questions for you.

As far as I understand, the CD3217B12 exists in more than one type and the different types are not cross-compatible. Is that correct? How many types are there in fact that you know of and which motherboards is each type compatible with? Do they look visually the same, or is there some difference in marking?

What should I look at when buying these chips online, for example on...
