    dz87m01 chipset upgrade

    So I got this dell motherboard. its a dz87m01 came out of a xps 8700 desktop i believe. it wont post I did some checking on it and was pretty sure the chipset was bad I have a bga rework station so I removed it and it looks like i was right. so i know this thing is old and pointless to put money in but a new chipset is around 25$ and i like fixing things that don't work .

    so question is to the people smarter than me is there a possible upgraded chipset that would be compatible as a replacement. The current one is the sr176

      NO. You should by a died mother board same your chipset's motherboard and take out and reball. New chipset too much bad chip !
