JE40 HR MB 10267-4 -No Power- (PU4103 OVERHEATING)

Hi, i have a motherboard JE40 HR MB 10267-4 that has the problem: "NO POWER".. i checked for busted fuses but no joy. Checked for shorted caps, no joy either. But i am bothered about the little resistance when i checked PL4101(+v) to ground. Instead of giving me a reading that was going up, it gave me a reading of 003 which so close to being shorted (002 when the two probes are touching each other) on my tester which was set to 2000 ohms. And so does some other caps i found. I found one obvious fault PU4103 which is overheating when i plug in the charger or battery. I know this should be replaced but i am seeking out more probable cause of this. Maybe a cap or mosfet or resistor or coil is the cause of this. But i do not know which one. I have this unit for sometime now and my customer is bugging me on when it could be fixed. jeez louise! Have any of you guys encountered this type of problem? Do you guys have any tips or solution in helping me out of this mess? Your help is GREATLY APPRECIATED! I had an old account since 2005 here @ badcaps and helped someone solving their LCD problem but forgot the password and cannot retrieve it for i deleted my old email on yahoo. pl4101 (+v) wich +v is in i dont have here schematic to follow , but if the coil if B+ then if yo uhave a short all 19 volts line is shorted somewere , the bether way to find it its to inject 19 volts on the power rail and see were is the burning culprit

Hi there Mr. Highpulse! Thank your for your reply! Yes, i already did that. the ic pu1403 is burning like hell. My problem is, what is causing it to burn like hell? what if i could get a replacement, and still it burns like hell? is it a mosfet? a cap? My second problem is, i haven't got any replacement for it (still searching), but I got 2 laptop mobo's here that are precisely dead that i could scavenge for it, but i don't know if it is compatible. Ive done replacing chips of this kind before but what i did was replaced it with the same part # but not through compatibility options. I have a PAV70 LA-6421p Rev. 1.0 and a DABY3CMB8E0 Rev: E laptop mobo's but don't have any idea if these both have the parts that i could use. I looked at data sheets and damn it got me wired up. Short story got no time to study, coz i have got no help only me and iv'e got tons of broken gadgets to fix and my customers are bugging me. i can't hire help for i charge only less, 50% off from the usual price that most shops here give. God gave me these skill, so i'm giving it back to his people almost for free even though it costs me a fight with the missus. I'm not trying to be a lazy - ass bunghole, but i really do need your help from you guys! Can you guys possibly lend a helping hand?
