Laptop Lenovo turn off after 30 minutes.

Hi there

I've a Laptop Lenovo Thinkpad edge, that works properly for about 25 minutes, then dies. I've clean fan and i've changed the termal paste on CPU and GPU. The temerature does not esceed 50°.
I've tried to exchange CPU and 've reset the cmos. No success. Any idea?

I cant think of anything other than what you already did. Same result with power supply or battery?

some time bios update may be can fix this problem

Change both temp sensors for CPU and GPU

Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 15 type 0319.
CPU Intel Core I3 M380 2.53Ghz
4Gb DDR
HDD 500Gb
Sys Op. Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Service Pack 1

The fan runs continuously, but the temperature does not exceed 50° (used HW monitor)

I've uptated the Bios, without success.

problem is chip vga or ic concerning power 3.3v and 5v try to chang the ic
and flashing the ENE BIOS
if not the problem is in chip vga

if your system is with intel chip and you sort that the temperature of heat sink is normal then it is sure short bios problem

Still sounds like there may be a shorted thermal probe that hasn't been found.....

Have you tried running in on AC power without the battery?
