    i mac A1312 start up loading then auto shutdown

    good day, to all,

    i have here here now a iMac A1312 with auto shutdown issue while loading to startup, i check the led code led #1 ,#2 , #3 , #4 all is working good when pressing power button. then display appear and sound and loading status appear into 30 to 40 % then shutdown power. can anyone share ideas before i proceed isolating the issue. thank a lot everyone have a good day.

      It is trying to resume from hibernate file but that seems corrupted or something, so it switches off. ie. software related issue.

          can you Try To Change the new tested Charger Adaptor. may be have thermal issue. try to clean the fan and installed new thermal compounds...

              iMac A1312 try to copy your data then reformat if still have the problem see CPU thermal compounds if still your pwer supply is the problem

                  I have two such machines which is having this issue. After shutdown the system starts on its own in a minute. It does not start immediately. It takes around 20-40 seconds before it starts again on its own. This is driving me crazy and not sure where to start ..
                  Some very important points :
                  • Laptop does not auto starts after shutdown if adapter is connected.
                  • It will only auto start after shutdown if the laptop is in BATTERY only mode.
                  • I have tried replacing batteries with a known
                  • if I shutdown the laptop with adapter connected and lets say remove the adapter after 5-10

                  I received the PSU today. A quick check revealed a shorted 12V output rail, which is caused by a half dead dual Schottky rectifier. I replaced it, and was able to turn on the PSU but very briefly for a few seconds before the protection kicks in and shut it off.

                  I'm not sure what is wrong.

                  All output rails seem ok, with 3.3V maybe a bit higher at 3.6V

                  Interesting to note, my light bulb is shining brightly while the PSU is running, like there is a short, instead of blinking rapidly as usual when there is an active PFC circuit involved.

                  I was trying to reset the Pulse Meter and re-adjust the Panel-1/2 settings in the SM on an exceptionally old Pioneer LX5090 (51k power-on hours according to it's SM). I did this many times on much less aged specimens (with 10-20k hours) without issues. After following the usual workflow, I noticed the darkest gray shade showed up black with bright sparkles. I tried to adjust some other parameters but it didn't disappear.
