Re: HP DV6-3141se wont power up with charger
Hello Dycc,
I did it but not successful. I removed PQ47 and plug the charger but no voltages on PQ4's Pin # 3. But as i mentioned already when i remove the resistor PR12 (100 Ohms). The Supply everywhere, VIN voltages present but not turning on Laptop. . I've also changed PQ3, PQ4 but all was vain. Now, i'm very tired with this motherboard and gonna return back to the customer.
If anyone will face this problem and have a solution please let me know. I'll be grateful to him.....
Thanks guys for your precious time....Comment

Re: HP DV6-3141se wont power up with charger
Hi from a new member
I'm trying to repair my HP Pavillion DV6,it has a similar fault with a small difference:
I have 19v at PU5's pin 1 (DCIN) but ACIN (PU5's pin 9)= 0v
Does this has any meaning?I'm using appropriate power supply, but the situation is the same if i use a bench power supply, the current absorption is 0 mA
The 19 is present in many points of the board ande the 3 connections of the power jack look good.
Any hint?ThanksComment

Re: HP DV6-3141se wont power up with charger
Ive got same issue which is Missing ACIN
I manage to have a good board and the difference on voltage reading on my defective one
AD_AIR- 0.846V Bad / 2.6V ok
AD_TYPE/ID - 0.746V bad/ normal 1.156V ok
I got problem on finding the voltage divider for the AD_air because of the lack of boardview of this unitComment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by Mita99Hi,
Try to repair a Thinkpad P72 EP720 NM-B723 MB with I7-8850H processor and N18E-Q1-KB-A1 (P3200) GPU with 6GB memory. Unfortunately there is noinfo what happened to the laptop. I got it disassembled with parts missing, like keyboard, battery.
Unfortunately I have no schematic available for me (requested in the sub porum) but got the boardview file.
Symptom: after connecting to the charger the power led light up for one-two second and switch off. After a couple secons the power led light up for half a second and switch off. No battery, no IO board, no... -
by CapacitorialHello guys,
I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.
On The TCON...-

by sam_sam_samI have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... -
by DenKDear all, I am trying to troubleshoot an Acer Aspire 5 A514-55 that won't power on. I'll describe the symptoms and my findings so far, and I would like to seek guidance and suggestions on possible suspects in terms of cause/component failure. My initial thoughts are battery charger IC and/or ideal diode/MOSFET (that switches between incoming DC and battery power), but I could be totally wrong on this.1) Laptop was working fine on battery, then user realised battery was running low. Plugged in AC adapter but noticed it was not charging (LED on AC adapter plug did not light). Eventually shut down...
