    Lenovo T520 Battery Question !

    Hello ! I have this lenovo t520 battery here, it's brand new (lenovo says 2 cycles in the battery utility). Bought it on ebay, got refunded since it didn't work, and seller told me to keep it.

    However, i wondered prior to recycling it, opened it up, and battery has 9.5v from black to red. However, output of the charging pcb is 0.5V.

    So there's just, something wrong on the pcb.. Here's a picture of it, i can't figure out by myself what's wrong. It's rather simple, a few ic's but i cannot find something obvious. Any help would be really great !!!

      battery have firmwares, similar to bios, which sometimes goes bad to...

          Ok ! I see 2 MT8103 which seems to be mosfets and some other chip, a SH79F329AX. Which IC would be the culprit ? Can't find anything about these being a bios or eeprom or anything close.. And there's nothing else on the board ?

              Hello guys, i need help with this problem, I have a NM-D041 mobo, it came with low impedance in 3v linear regulator rail, the cause was a damaged EC controller ITE8227e-192. I ordered a new one and replaced it. This laptop have a different chip for keyboard management and it8227e pins for programming ITE chips are not accesible through keyboard interface, I flashed it using i2c interface pins with vertyanov programmer because laptop was dead and SPI flash didn't have power (only 3v EC) so it couldn't access firmware stored in SPI memory. I read SPI and extracted it8227 firmware from original BIOS...

              My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

              Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

              My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
              The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.

              Hi everyone,

              I'm having an issue with my Lenovo ThinkPad P43s. The laptop does not power on when the internal battery is connected, but it works fine on AC power alone (battery disconnected). Once the battery is reconnected, the system becomes completely unresponsive — no lights, no fan spin, nothing.

              Hello, I have a customer that brought this laptop in after replacing his battery. He said his original battery charge was not lasting long, and after replacing the battery with one purchased from iFixit, the charging worked for about 30 minutes and then stopped, and the battery is no longer detected by windows.

              Good guys. I changed the battery to a Lenovo V310-15ISK.

              The laptop worked perfectly, I changed the L15C4A02 battery because it didn't last very long.
              When I connected the new battery, the charging LED stopped lighting up and the one next to the charging pin also did not react when I pressed the power button.
