I just got a RT809F on eBay which is primarily a programmer for firmware on LCDs and can also be used to do some diagnosis on VGA DDC data.
It can read & write firmware either through VGA/HDMI or serial NOR flash (in common SOIC8 or SOIC16 packages) directly through its ZIF socket.

Side Note:
If you're planning to use it on LCDs get a grip on those dvds which are full of firmware and maintenance manuals for hundreds of LCD displays!

but now this tool faulty cannot detect in my pc.. i buy new one same problem.. lol .. last i buy RT809F..

In RT809F i have soldered the chip ENE KB9012 to the separate board given with programmer. But when i click on smart identity, there is a error message,as its not detected.So when i try manual method & select KB9012QF, & try to read the chip,there is ''ISP boot error,please check the ISP wires and EC power'' error msg. So please tell me how to overcome this problem...Thanks..

I bought this to program Dell inspiron 3521. But there is 2 Bin files named:
1. ec (128KB
2.main( 8MB or 4MB

I used the main at 1st but laptop went from beep to dead

no need to remove sio and solder it to the card.

you need to do the following.

1. solder a wire on pin1 of card and name it CS(CHIP SELECT)
2. solder a wire on pin2 of card and name it DO(DATA OUTPUT)
3. solder a wire on pin4 of card and name it GND(GROUND)
4. solder a wire on pin5 of card and name it DIN(DATA INPUT)
5. solder a wire on pin 6 of card and name it CLK(CLOCK).

Thatsall on the card side. Rest of the pins will remain non connected.

Now connect wire named GND TO GROUND of MB.
CLK/CS/DIN/DO pins shoeld be connected to keybaord connector as per schematics.

as for example for dell3521 do the follwing.

SIO PIN KBD CON PIN TYPE
59 KSI4 27 CS
60 KSI5 25 CLK
61 KSI6 28 DIN
62 KSI7 29 DO
42 KSO3 16 GND

no! because this sio use a bios memory connected from outside.....
so only you have to flash that memory

For anyone still facing the above issue, you need to populate the KB9012 board with the following parts:

R1 -> 47K to 51K (Very important)
C1 & C3 -> 10uF (anything above 5V rating is OK)
C2 & C4 -> 0.01uF (anything above 5V rating is OK)

The capacitors are not mandatory (they are mostly for filtering). But the resistor is very important.

about RT809f i want yo get one but i dont know if it read and write 32mb files , because i have this old tvp2588u+ programmer it works fine but this new gen bios chip holds 32mb files bin it cants read or write , i bought ch341a i got suggested for it read ok and test erase but write it can not do it it gives me errors example of eprom im trying to program (mx25l25673gmi) so again my question is can this programmer read and write 32mb files on rt809f?
