      Are you certain for these values (you measure without power supply and battery);

Remove PU3 and measure resistance on those points again

50 ohms on pin 8 means a short on that line. Main suspect is EC controller. You have to remove U5 and check resistance again on the above points.

                  here the mobo

                  now remove the EC Chip

the here the testing point w/ supply

the here the testing point w/ supply

                  PIN #8 - 0.6V
                  PIN #17 - 0V

                  PL20 & PL21- Both 0V

                  U5 - 0V

then the resistance measure using x10
                  PU3
                  PIN #8 - 60 ohms
                  PIN #17 - 60 ohms

                  PL20 & PL21- 190 ohms

                  U5 - 0 ohm

                  question?
why have no supply on pu3 PIN#17 +5VPCU (.0V)? then the PIN#8 +3VPCU only (0.6V)? adapter charger supply inserted

You shouldn't have 60ohm on pins 8 and 17. Remove PU3 and clean the pads of both PU3 and U5 from solder (avoid contacts-shorts between pads) and measure resistance again on 8 and 17 without adapter.

                          60 ohm is not normal. Did you clean the solder on U5 pads; What is the resistance on U5 pads (+3vpcu); What about U4;
Solder a wire on PC27, (+3vpcu side) and apply voltage (maximum 3v) and check if any current is drawn and if yes, check what is getting hot with a thermocouple.

I already clean the u5 pads.

                            U5 pins have (+3vpcu side)

                                    Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

LG 39ln540v - red light flashes twice, no power to LED driver?
                                    by russpall
                                    Hi there,

I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.

The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:
                                    ...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                                    by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

See pictures for type of laptop computer

I checked switching power supply brick 19.2 volts multi meter only

No booting without switching power supply connected

Checked switching power supply with an (28 volt ) incandescent light bulb it lights then hooked up the switching power supply again now the laptop and boots like normal

What the heck is going on here...
