    a1260 dont recognize any hdds

    got this a1260 macbook , nad it not recognizing any hdd, i inserted some 3 different hdds and none are showing when pressing ALT . i replaced the hdd cable , but problem still persist , and if i leave it to boot , it will stay with the question folder , and after a while it will shutdown.

    ?any ideas =

    check hdd cable voltage and compare with schematic

    also try a pram reset and smc reset.

        usually when you see that folder mark it means that bios (mac efi) cant find OS partition for some reason
        it can be hdd problem, or filesystem corruption or maybe motherboard not detecting hdds

        can you put macos install disk or bootable usb and try to install os?
        need bootmeny shortcut (option, command, or command + b, command +c), but you can find that on google, depending on model...

          thk guys for your answer i will grab this machine tomorow morning and let you guys know , meanwhile must end this 6 machines on the bench will end until the end of today , so tomorow ill grab the apple machine again
