Dell Vostro 15 3568 15341-1 91N85 - Won't recognize battery and charger

Hello everyone

I have been working on this laptop mentioned in the title, it initially had a blown PQ4410 mosfet. After I replaced it and repaired the damaged PCB the thing started working again, but there is still another problem. The laptop won't recognize genuine battery and charger. I have 3.3v KBC PIN36 PS_ID and this is pretty much where my knowledge ends.

Where should I go next? Replace the KBC or measure something else?

What is the voltage to ground of PS_ID_R2? This is the leg of the wiring that mates with the center pin on the actual DCin power connector.

Be sure the center needle pin of your adapter is not broken / bent to one side. Be sure your DCin connector is actually mating with the same pin.

Genuine 45w charger shows 3.3V
Aftermarket 65w charger shows 2.3V

Remove all power. Measure the resistance across PR4305. It should be ~33R ohms. The mosfet in series and this series resistor are a common point of failure.

Can you confirm the needle pin inside the original power adapter is present and straight?

The value of PR4305 is 33R ohms. Neddle is present and straight. Also i've unplugged the charger connector and the voltage to ground on PIN 4 (white wire) is 0V on aftermarket 65w charger and 0.07V on original 45w charger

The PS_ID is a parasitic 1-wire ID device by former Dallas Semiconductor / Maxim Semiconductor (now Analog devices). This 1-wire device resides inside the power adapter and is powered by the pull-up voltage on the motherboard. Using this as the power source, the ID chip should communicate with the EC to share the properties of the power adapter. You can google for more details on how this works but the center pin must mate with the DCin connector for all of this to work. The EC is the 1-wire bus master.

I've tried another genuine 65W dell charger and guess what... it's working and the battery is charging. Well again thanks for the help and kinda sorry for wasting your time with my rookie mistake.
