    Lenovo G550, no image, only backlight

    hi Guys, have here a Lenovo G550 that i got in a job lot .
    When it powers on i only have backlight but no image,
    External is fine.
    Intel celeron CPU with Intel Graphics.
    I have tried different screen and different video cable.
    Any ideas?

      Cook the board
      Just cook it! It's already broken.

                  Check Filters and Resistors near the LCD Connector!

                  You need a schematic, but you can check if there is a damage the parts have a inscription with (FL, L, P (fuse)).

                  You can also heat the Intel Chip up, to check if this is a BGA Problem!

                      i will check components and if nothing wrong will trow it on the rework machine for reflow and see after. thanks

                          check 2/3 small transistors near the LCD Connector too.

                              Good morning guys, i did reflow and same problem. now i will start looking for broken transistors , fuses....
                              Will post back.

                                  Ended up buying another motherboard . turned out was cheaper than time spent to try fix .
                                  Maybe in future will come back to this board

                                          New motherboard seems to have problem with webcam. not detecting it . bought new camera and cable and problem so again mobo problem...

                                              Dears, this is my first post here and first try to fix my own laptop Apple MacBook Pro Retina 15-inch Mid 2015.
                                              I have some general electronics troubleshooting experience and still as my hoppy but this is my first laptop trying to fix.

                                              History: my laptop backlight stopped working without any reason.
                                              Symptoms:
                                              I have image on screen using my flashlight.
                                              I have fully working laptop with the help of my external SAMSUNG LED tv via HDMI cable.
                                              Keyboard backlight still working and can be adjusted normally.

                                              This chinese all in one computer gives an image when connected to an external vga monitor but only the backlight with integrated monitor (no image). Initially I thought it was an edid problem on the eeprom of the screen but then I saw that the monitor works correctly with another identical motherboard (model th410-d4, read by bios). Unfortunately the motherboard is chinese and has no brand or codes on the pcb. The format seems ITX. Nothing can be found online. The official yashi site provides drivers but not the bios. The electrical diagram is obviously unobtainable

                                              Good morning guys,

                                              I have a Lenovo V15 G3 that came in with liquid damage. The damage was very minor and some corrosion on the IO board where the power switch was. After cleaning both the motherboard and IO board in alcohol, the laptop turned on and I had backlight for about 3 seconds but nothing further. I don't have a boardview for this laptop (Have requested this in the Schematic Request section), however from previous experience on Lenovo laptops I have checked pins 1, 2, 3 on the EDP connector.
