The MacBook was initially drawing only 5 V. After removing C9081, it now draws 20 V, but the current remains at only 0.05 A, and the MacBook still does not power on.

Review the voltage to ground for the following points of interest on the battery connector:
SMBUS_3V3_BATT_SCL
SMBUS_3V3_BATT_SDA
This case may be linked to corrupt T2 firmware:

by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
I have this machine, one of the few that arrives on the bench without a short on PPBUS_G3H. At least these voltages are present. I also have the PP3V3 voltage on L7660 and P5VG3 on L7600. I'm not used to dealing with machines where the shorts are not on PPBUS_G3H, so I need help from my colleagues to analyze where this sequence is failing. From what I've measured, the SSD voltages are fine.
The analyzer shows it as seen in the attached photo.... -

Hi, I found short on one of 6 black nand (total 1TB).

I try A2141 1TB configurazion with TSB4228 but the position on pcb is different ( U9300 and U9400 is no stuff on A1990 but present on A2141 and U8800 and U8900 is no stuff on A2141 but present on A1990 )
macbook with A2141 configuration run on recovery but don't complete it.

by noz_1974Hello ,
I just bought a broken MacBook Pro A1990 , year 2018 board number : 820-01041A.
The previous owner of the MacBook told me that a little bit of water touched the left hand USB C port and the computer shuts off. He took it to the lab and they said that the CD3215C is bad and need to be replaced but they are not good at this .
Anyway , I bought this computer and start examine it , here is what I found ( battery unplugged :
1. All the USB C ports are stuck in 5V / 0.4A
2. PPBUS_G3H is present 12.3V
3. PP3v3_G3H is present... -
by mkdjHello everyone,
About me, my goal and the equipment I (don't) have:
I am brand new to this forum, and I am eager to learn about repairing laptops. I have an engineer background although I haven't done electronics for a while. I have watched several Youtube videos in the last two months, trying to understand how to diagnose a faulty motherboard. I have a USB-C Amp meter and a classic multi meter. No DC Power Supply to inject voltage, no soldering iron to replace components.
About my issue and my goal:
A friend of mine has a MacBook Air M1 A2337 that does not... - Loading...
