A2179 fast fan and extremely laggy touchpad :'(

I just changed the screen on a Macbook A2179.

On restart, it boots up to the password screen but any movement on the touchpad is extremely laggy and the fan spins up to full speed.

I tried checking all the connectors which are all in place.
    New thermal paste on CPU.

Also noticed the battery is not charging either and shows a battery sign in the top right hand corner with an exclamation mark in it.

I have schematic and boardview if anyone can help me with this?

    Many thanks.

You are missing the enumeration of some sensor that is leading to the high Charles Manson crazy fan spin & the cpu is being throttled.

Suspecting that the issue is probably with the BMS cable of your battery pack. Post pictures of how you have inserted this cable into the BMS connector on the logic board. Respectively, if you disconnect this cable, do you see the same level of fan spin? Most likely this cable is not properly seated inside the connector. Start here.

      Hi.

If I disconnect the battery cable, it does exactly the same. Unbelievably laggy and full blast fan.

Interestingly I just found this video and believe this could be the solution. Apparently it's a particular quirk of this exact model.

Macbook A1706 touchpad and keyboard not working. Please help
        by B2L_Repairs
Hi guys i am new to macbook repairs (i mostly do microsoldering on iphones and android devices. I need your assistance with macbook a1706 (touchbar edition) that came in without touchpad and keyboard functionality. External keyboard and mouse does work but the keyboard and touchpad on the macbook does not work. I changed the touchpad flex, also replaced the touchpad but the issue persisted. I then measured voltage on the board and found that PIN 44-50 of the touchpad connector (J4501) got 11.2V instead of 12.6V. Those pins required 12.6v and they get their 12.6v from PPVIN_S4-TPAD_FUSE . I measure...

HP Power Supply 6632A: Fast Mode vs Normal Mode?

        FAST MODE vs NORMAL MODE

I have recently acquired a HP 6632A DC power supply. I am just beginning to use it and I have been reading the manuals for it. It is the first power supply I have ever owned or used. I am a very beginner hobbyist and do not have an engineering background, as may be obvious by my question...

I can't seem to understand what the actual use is for the 'Fast Mode' or the 'Normal Mode' on the power supply. Although the manual states what the two modes do from a engineering/technical standpoint, I don't know enough to understand what it all means,...

MacBook A2179 Audio board+Power button boardview & schematic needed
        by Darren Hibbert
        Hi.

Long shot but does anyone have a schematic & boardview for the audio board+power button on a Macbook A2179?

There is a shorted cap on mine and I need to know if I can safely remove it or whether I need to replace it and with what capacitor.

        Many thanks. ...

        Acer E1-571G Q5WVH LA-7912P Rev 1.0 Bypass Touchpad Requirement
        by uintptr
Hello, i have Q5WVH LA-7912P Rev 1.0 motherboard on my old PC. I accidently broke the touchpad things when replacing the back and up case. After doing that my motherboard going to blinking orange light on LED2. When I properly seat that touchpad thing, it occasionally boots. I think the problem is because of this. I don't have a soldering iron, so I can't solder it there. Since I'm going to use the computer as a server, I don't need a touchpad. I'm also leaving a photo for better understanding. I need to short-circuit it and make it work all the time. Which pins is for short-circuit? Thank you....
