    lenovo flex5-14itl05, touchpad water damage

    last night i dropped some liquid over my laptop touchpad, immediately stopped using and tried to dry it up.
    the touchpad misclicks, sometimes stops working altogether

    i have removed the touchpad assembly cleaned it with alcohol and brush and cotton buds.

    can i fully disassemble the touchpad assembly as i suspect some liquid is still lurking inside the trackpad.Click image for larger version Name: image.png Views: 393 Size: 704.0 KB ID: 3309891​

      Hi,

      I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15IAU7 that suffered water damage. It doesn't turn on (white power light flashes when on button pressed), and the amber light flashes when plugged in.

      Symptoms:
      • Short detected – sparks appear when touching the charging port connection with board with a metal (even a multimeter probe).
      • Visible damage – after cleaning corrosion, I found 4 possibly burnt memory chips near PC3165, labeled UD5, UD6, UD7, and UD8.

      What are my next steps to diagnose and possibly repair it without replacing the entire board? Any guidance would be greatly...

      Hello.

      First, I would like to extend my wishes for a Happy New Year to everyone.

      ... so I got this notebook for repair. The ntb is not turning on. A small amount of water was spilled on the keyboard and I found only 2 dried spots, patches on the motherboard. One around Mosfet PQ5302 but is not damaged and the second on JEDP1 connector.

      I measured:

      Mosfets:
      PQ5301 PIN:4 25,35V
      PQ5908 PIN:5 GT_PH shorted to the ground
      PQ5902 PINs 1-4 shorted to the ground

      Coils:
      PL5901 shorted to the ground
      PL5902 shorted...

      The board is FG541 FG741 NM-C362, and the laptop was water damaged,but not too much.

      I cleaned the board and laptop was blinking white light , 3.3V and 5V were present, CPU had no power, i analyzed the startup sequence and found that there is no VCCSA on the CPU, i traced it to the PU2901 and found the Vin pin 47 had no input, resistor 2Mohm was burned OL, replaced that and now the CPU is getting hot and i get the keyboard backlight now and fans spin, but still blinking white light and no image on the screen, but now the GPU is cold, and i remember when i first took the board the      ...

      Hi! My friend just brought this audio amplifier/speaker fro his music band saying they realized its got no sound. Led powers up but there no sound at all
      I opened it and found 3 board. 2 of them are for input plugs and potentiometers, and the other larger board has the amplifiers for 2 large speakers that it drives
      There's also a large toroid transformer that feeds a lower voltage to the first 2 boards and a larger voltaje (36x2 rectified close to 100v) to the power board. The power board has the plugs for both speakers
      There is only one signal wire connecting the first boards...

      If I press numlock on external keyboard, the led from internal keyboard light up for a short period of time.
