Hey guys,
ive got a laptop here with a very strange fault.
As the title says the Laptop turns on Power Button lights up as well as the keyboard but no picture.
At first i thought it was a bios issue or a ram issue but the fans are not spinning either (or is this normal?).
I checked the board and found that vcore 1 from the CPU is good and the other vcore with the two coils has 0.6 ohms to gnd. I found that strange because if the vcore got shorted like from a mosfet it wont have a working Main Power rail.
Now the Question is: Is the 0.6 ohms normal?
I remvoved the two coils and the short is on the CPU side... How can the cpu get shorted without any reason?
At pl8004 there are like 2.5 ohms i guess that is normal but in this post (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ux51vz-rev-2-0)
he says that pl8400 is shorted and the near coils like in my case... But I dont have a shorted ec Chip.
When the Laptop is turned on the CPU and chipset is getting warm like usual not like theres a short.
Neither the CPU is getting warm when i inject voltage on the cpu side (1.3v with 2.3 amps)...
