Macbook Pro A2338 no power. This chip is short and goes extremely hot. When removed the short is gone. Can someone help me out what chip is this?

There are a few other vendors that are building in this package including Texas Instruments.
Before you replace the part, test the resistance to ground on the output rail of this device. If this part is getting hot, it may be because the rail is shorted or exceeding the specification of this low current LDO regulator.Last edited by mon2; 02-24-2025, 07:09 AM.
